Zero bottles, same as last year. I would assume though, infection shouldn't be a concern. With the shit storm that happened last year I can't imagine they would let it happen twice.

Got that right! They would have to be total boneheads to fail to implement pasteurization and end up with another infection.

I try to buy 4-5 bottles and age all but one of them. That way, each year, I have 3-4 of different vintages.

I'll probably buy more this year.. After last year's debacle, they will be on their game.. This could be the best year in a while.

Bought one last year. Will not buy any this year. Just saw a bunch on a shelf in MA. This past weekend along side KBS. Still have one from last year , four 2014 and a 2012. In my opinion there are much better deals out there.

    Enjoy

More than last year, but I only got a few bottles. I'm not going crazy, will just stop by my local Binny's and get what I can get.

Also, if every single person on this thread who said they will never again buy another Goose Island product stuck to their word, I would probably be able to get this without waiting in line

I bought 3cs of regular and 1cs BW. I didn't stand in line or really do anything special.

I again won't stand in line or do anything special, unless I drive through DC looking Coffee or Rye, pretty unlikely. I will probably buy the same amount if it presents itself. That's if the refunds come through on all these bottles of regular I'm sitting on that are from bad batches, which I'm opening 2 per night and are all really bad so far. I missed the BW "deadline" so I am a little salty about that still, but I only had a couple bottles left.

**deadlines usually are well known before the cutoff, I'm not sure what to call what they did this year with the coffee+BW

I answered "Some but less than I purchased in 2015," but this is misleading as there is one less variety this year. Otherwise it'd be the same amount.

Your hybrid name for the evil amused me, thanks.

I will try to get a bottle or two. Have two regulars from last year I haven't tried but did not hear any issues from others who bought theirs at the same place.

Actually, they might want to boycott Ramen too. I just received a refund for ramen noodles because the spice packet was cinched improperly in (so far) 6 of the 24 packets. It was open on one side spilling its contents all inside the noodle bag. But hey, you can live almost 2 weeks drinking water without eating!

Au contraire, the DOJ just approved the SABMiller-AbInbev merger with one condition being that "ABI will have to discontinue its controversial incentive programs that reward its independent distributors for limiting sales of their [small and independent brewers'] 'high-end craft and import beers,' as described by the DOJ. Further, ABI will face DOJ scrutiny on future purchases of wholesalers or breweries." - Forbes

So while on the face of it you may assume consolidating power would mean less competition, the DOJ has added restrictions to make things more competitive for smaller brewers. You are right, however, in that it really isn't a free market economy.

On the fence. It was easier to find (bought some in February). Depends on the moon, tides, and whether my car takes me to a liquor store.

I made the effort and got 4 last year.
2 from 1 store 2 from another in northern NJ.
After having conversations with the liquor managers...because I frequent these 2 places..
Hearing how they deal with the "truck chasers" and all the phone calls they get etc. etc
It really personally , and this is my own feeling and opinion... It left a pit in my stomach.
Is it worth it? I guess it depends on availability and hardcore demand.

for 2016 I will not go out of my way. I did it in 2015. I did the hunt and got a lousy vibe.
    Same vibe for KBS too.
This is all my own opinion.

There was barely any in my area (same as past several years) and it was a pain in the ass to get any. What I did get was infected. And we also don't get sent any variants because it's Vermont so InBev believes since we don't buy enough regular GI each year we aren't worthy of variants. So who f;ing knows. Maybe I'll be lucky to scrape up a bottle or two of regular BCBS and hope this year's batch isn't infected as well.
