10 should be more than reasonable. I would probably shoot for 11 myself, but never know with Atrial.

They don't open until 4 on Friday. I can probably be off work by 1. I live in San Antonio so hopefully I can get there early and there will be some left by the time I get there.

SA is what, like an hour and a half? If you show up at 2:30 you'll get beer but probably die from the heat.

That's right, and dying doesn't hold your spot in line by the way. Sorry.

Well, living in Texas my whole life has made me used to the heat. My tomato skin however begs to differ....

I'll be in Navy blue scrubs if any of yall are there on Friday. Should be a fun day.

What is the historical perspective on the line for Saturday? If I get there by noon is it likely I'll get my two? Or do I need to get there earlier?

If you think it's similar demand to MvB, then it will last all day at 2 per. I am assuming it will be available most of the day on Saturday with the staged release over 3 days.

Someone needs to make a matrix that factors in bottle count, hype, weather and time that answers once and for all "If I get there at _PM will I still get bottles?" and pin it to the SW forum.

I think the demand will be higher than MvB, am I wrong?

Without a doubt. People go ape shit for Atrial. It's worth it though.

Never been to a JK release earlier than open.

Question regarding waiting/lining up prior to open at 4: Are outside beers for consumption frowned upon prior to 4? Just a few bottles to, ya know... keep hydrated while waiting?

Is there any glassware for this weekend?

I guess my point was that is all speculation. After selling out early Friday, MvB stuck around well in to the second weekend. I guess it is possible that maybe 1,000 people line up before noon for Atrial and it sells out immediately. Or maybe you will be able to show up at 6PM and buy bottles with no line. I think the latter is more likely. Just another point of reference, Sherry Atrial took about 7 hours to sell out 1,000 bottles.

You aren't allowed to drink in line before they start serving. They'll ask you to leave/refuse to serve you if they catch you doing that

Other than ShAtrial/GinTurn, Atrial is their most hyped release. So yeah, look at MvB and adjust figures accordingly (as JK wisely did with daily bottle counts per day).

Seriously, people need to do their research on previous releases to better understand when things will sell out. It's almost like you're asking us on BA to say that you can show up at _ PM on Friday/Saturday/Sunday and get bottles, but if you don't, clearly Jester King/HOARDERS WITH A THOUSAND MULES are at fault because you didn't show up in time to get your bottles.

If bottles are your priority, show up at least two hours before opening each day and enjoy conversing with your fellow beer nerds before they open. It's definitely not a bottle share environment, but Stanley's opens up a little before JK on Saturday and Sunday, so get a pour there before JK opens up.

In short, know the game, play the game.

Last year's atrial release lasted well into the evening on the first night, but it was 1pp and only around 1000 bottles. I'm thinking/hoping the new release schedule will eventually slow down the Friday lines as folks won't be so desparate to get there by Friday afternoon. More than likely the line will be a little longer on Friday than the MvB release but I would imagine bottles will be available past 6pm. I think by increasing the Friday release count, they are trying to purposely get the bottles to last into the evening so people getting off work can get there and get some. But, who the hell knows. I showed up at 6pm on Friday of the MvB release only to witness the last 4 bottles sell out for the day and I waited in line for the sherry atrial release only to go back with my wife later in the afternoon and have her buy a bottle, too.

TLDR. If I show up at 7 PM, can I get my bottles? WHERE IS MY MATRIX

If I said no, would you still show up? If I said yes, would you still show up?
