Oh yeah, I'm not complaining either. It was very nice of them. My guess is it has to do with the fact that it's cheaper for them to offer their own beer free than beer they have to purchase. No worries at all cause they make great beer!

Just ordered one 4 pack of each beer for this coming release. Excited to try their beers and I gotta say, ordering beer online is awesome!

Is the friday pickup usually busy for cans? Was planning on picking up my allotment tomorrow on my way home from work, but kinda wanna be in and out. I'll probably get there around 6:30-6:45.

Lol Threes releases are never busy. Like...everyone's just picking up their orders. Worst case there's one person ahead of you in line...but even that is doubtful.

If it's your first time (sounds like it), go through the bar and out into the backyard, and around back toward the right. Thats' where they do cans.

Read my comment above. Don't go to the bar. Go to the backyard. It is not busy.

I had just posted this exact question. Thank you for the info!

I'm guessing the brewery is relatively chill during off-peak hours? As in, easy to sit down and grab a few pours after picking up cans?

Yes. Threes is more than just a brewery. It's a bar with an extensive tap list of their own beers and from other breweries (check BeerMenus.com they update every day). They also serve food from local sandwich/burger pros Meat Hook, and have an awesome backyard. They do growler fills of their own beers as well. If you have a growler, bring it...and fill it with There You Are...one of their best IPAs that hasn't been canned yet. It's so so so good. They also do live music in an annex/event space next door.

It's probably top 5 beer bars in all of NYC, given everything they offer. The online can ordering might make them #1 all things considered.

Agree with all of this. The online ordering is so convenient. Wish Brooklyn wasn't so far from Hoboken. I would hang out at this place all the time.

Also, they put up signs outside that point the direction to go for cans.

Noticed these two are still available for online ordering and was curious what people thought of them. Based on Untappd, they are solid, but not superb, but I wanted to get some more input than just Untappd ratings if possible.

I believe the the Constant Dissapointment ratings are from a while ago back when it was a 9% DIPA. My guess is the recipe and this batch will be very different. Probably the same for I Hate Myself. Threes seems to be dialing in their recipes quite a bit lately.

Good to know - maybe I'll order a 4-pack of each and check them out.

This is what I'm doing. I haven't had many Threes beers but I have been ordering a 4 pack of each beer every release to try them and see what I like and don't like. The process for cans is just too easy. And then I always grab a pint there which give me the opportunity to try even more. Once they start re-canning beers there might be a few I skip.

recipes are definitely getting dialed in. SFY in cans is way less boozier than I've previously had. Wish I picked up more cans. I wouldn't have said this last time but it's right there next to AGE, maybe better.

Not ownedby Threes, but the espresso place upstairs is also handy for those Saturday afternoons after you've tried most of the tap list

When it's balls hot tomorrow and you are picking up, you should try Other Ephemera hoppy lager on tap. Delish summer crusher.
