So can you get ACE glowler fills at the brewery? I heard both here, thanks.

Was there tonight, no ACE fills but Double Mosaic is up (at last!) and filling 32oz growlers!

i think OH is slipping with all the galavanting they're doing. their latest offerings have been pretty meh. they just haven't really progressed in the past year like other local breweries. i mean their non-ipa offerings are still severely lackluster.

I think you're wrong on so many levels. Go take a cold shower.

Other half takeover at Goldstar beer counter tonight. Whole staff was there + Sam cracking open cans/bottles from New England and giving away theirs. One of the best bar events I ever took part off.

yeah i looked at a lot of their latest releases and i take that back. just can and release as much beer as trillium/tree house.

edit: i will say it seems that a lot of local breweries are realizing very quickly how to brew a great IPA so keep your head on a swivel. and stand by the fact their non-ipas non-overhopped beers are substandard.

A lot of people will agree with you, a lot won't. I still love Other Half & their beers but I do wish it was more consistent. There's something off. I know when I drink a TH or a Trillium it's going to taste the same (if not better) then the last time I had it. I think a large part is the changing of who is brewing everything.

I agree with all of this. No Layups and Second Anniversary (in that order) are my two favorite OH beers, hands down. But for their non-IPAs, it's gotten to the point where I won't order them at a bar until I've had everything else on tap I'm remotely interested in trying.

It's hit or miss. Grits and Greens, City Slickers, Lime Green Galaxies have all been hits for me but there are misses as well.

Well. They did a collab with "The Answer," which is like what: <3 miles away?

Yep, & I thought no layups was pretty good, and in general I enjoy Veil beers more than the Answer so I'm pretty optimistic.

It's hard to compare OH with TH/Trillium, philosophies are different which impacts consistency. I don't mind OH continually collabing and trying new stuff. And they came out with some really cool releases like Green Galaxies and City Slickers. I can't see TH or Trillium really doing or wanting to make beers like that. I'm sure if OH wanted to they can just settle on 5-10 fan fav beers to rotate (AGE,ACE, hop showers, etc...)....check out Steal This Beer podcast with Sam richardson.

Didnt Trillium just do collabo's with OH and Evil Twin?

They do collab but I'm sure not in the same frequency as OH. Love trillium btw. Ppl have it good up there.

Burial Beer Prismatic Eye, a collab with Other Half
    [IMG]

Burial Beer Prismatic Eye, a collaboration with New York’s Other Half, will be canned in the near future.

Folks from Other Half Brewing were in Asheville, North Carolina last week for Wicked Weed’s Funk Invitational. On the way out of town, the met up with Burial Beer.

The result – an imperial IPA, brewed with North Carolina six-row barley, and a few fun hops.

Our type of people. Our type of ritual. NC-grown six-row grain under a bouquet of Citra, Summer, and Centennial hops, fermented with our house yeast blend.

Burial Beer Prismatic Eye will be available in 16 ounce cans.
