Konkey really is a great beer! This batch is already pretty damn tasty!

So the line on the left is not a separate line and you have to line up in a single line that splits off? As far as I can tell, there are two lines to get beer and I went in the line to the left. Did Hoof Hearted sanction that there is one line that splits into two or is that your understanding? I'm just wondering because to me it makes way more sense to have two lines, one with growler fills and one without. And it sounds like that's not line cutting.

you guys are spending a lot time analyzing something that happened 5 days ago. It's beer, move on.

I don't see an issue with the two lines, maybe rope them off or something so people can get in both from the back? My bigger issue was with the guy who just showed up and jumped in with his buddy in front of me by the konkey dong arcade and filled 2 growlers in front of me after I had waited over an hour in line.. Nothing anyone can do, but some people just don't have manners.

There is something you could do, but you may end up in jail.

You guys illustrate plainly why I rarely attend anything like this anymore... I would eventually get in trouble.

I've been to a number of releases and its always one line until you get into the building then it splits into two. I'm not saying this is the best way to do it but this is how it's always been. The people who were forming the second line by the tents were bypassing the real line and were cutting boat loads of people who patiently waited the way they always have. Again, it was confusing. Whoever started the second line to the side is the real idiot but everyone behind him likely just had no idea what was going on. They should have two lines total roped off. It's just too easy of a fix so I'm not sure why they don't do it. If you've ever been to Tree House they have at least one employee policing the line all the time and they hand out numbered cards upon your arrival to make sure nobody is line jumping. These are cheap and simple solutions with minimal effort. I don't see any reason why HH can't make some adjustments for future cannings.

It happens every release not just the last one.

I don't think we should ask that HH invest the labor $ to staff this. Its not a huge deal and can be corrected with signage and ropes. With the wide corral currently it lends itself to confusion and abuse unless its self policed by patrons.
Two roped areas.... one for cans only on left, one for fills and cans on right. It may not be the most conducive to the picnic table share but we can adapt.

Seems like there is going to be a bit of EWS Simcoe left over from Sunday's upcoming release, if that's the case when does it typically go on sale at the brewpub if at all?

I believe that last time tickets did not sell out, they raised the limits to 4-4 packs.

Yes indeed @JArt and it also sounds like they shipped excess out to a few lucky bottle shops, even as far as Cincy.

Anyone notice Hoof changed the number of tickets (allotments) all of sudden to 200 from
    the original 350

My guess is that they will probably raise the allotment to four 4pks per person, like they have for the last few releases (excluding Konkey). Not sure if I want any more than two four packs though.

For a while, they were doing "Sloppy Seconds" at the brewpub. TMK, the only beers that made it there were "Are We Having Fun Yet?" and Bulgin' Musk in a formal "Sloppy Seconds" release. Roller Blabe made it down for the pool party, but was limited to on-site consumption.

I would really appreciate if they would start bringing cans from Marengo to the brewpub once again.

Not flat, but a bit sweet on the finish. I think if it was a little drier it would be even better!

Must be my palate then. For whatever reason I don't care for this batch very much compared to the last one. Just feels a bit thinner and not as juicy this time around. It is a bit sweet though.

So this EWS may be my favorite out of the EWS bunch, even topping Blabe and Konkey for me. Them Simcoe hops are incredible!

Only had draft one so far, but plan to try a canned version when home.

So yeah, had my can at home and it confirmed that it is really incredible. Juicy, some pine and the mouthfeel is just awesome. It really blows the past few EWS out of the water (I still think Citra is up there as one of my top beers from hoof as well).

So glad we decided to go for this release. Was so dead there today! Likely the heat I'm guessing along with lack of interest.

No release next Sunday, but the week following is a variant of Musk (different name) using a different yeast strain. Sounds awesome.
