No idea. When I showed up at 3:15, it was abundantly clear that I wasn't getting bottles. But I was first in line for draft. Then that line got way too long.

 

Decided to skip this one, too much uncertainty for the long drive.

I know Im in the minority, but I prefer just releasing all of the bottles when its a 4k+ batch. Now, instead of having at least one relaxing, no-rush day for pickup - every day becomes a question mark if you cant there within a couple of hours of opening. This may only really apply to Atrial though. I would like it a lot more if I lived closer. Cant please everyone of course.

But spreading the kegs out is a no-brainer.

I was in line at 3:40. Got my bottles at around 4:40. Very smooth. If I had to guess I was around 550 in line. Great release. And most importantly, fantastic beer. Haven't had it in a few years, but just as good, if not better than I remember.

Same here. I didn't want to wait, even if I could have gotten one. Line for bottles was insane at 3:30pm, so I was one of the first to get a glass of A.R. since there were only around 7 people waiting for pours. I just enjoyed my beverage from the shade, watching the line and people make the same old jokes, like, "I'll take a case," "I'll back my truck up for that pallet," & "I'll be back tomorrow and Sunday for more." On second thought, I'm pretty sure that last one wasn't a joke. I'll be back tomorrow to get a couple, since I have some time. Shame it can't be a quick in-and-out ordeal; 2 is more than enough.

There's a reason people stand in line for it.

 

With this new way of doing releases they are creating the lines artificially. Or making them worse at least. In the past you could show up right now and walk up and grab some bottles. They are creating a need for people to arrive early every day they are opened now. I guess they think it creates more hype having a huge line at opening every release.
