Northern Monk Eternal - very good canned session ipa from M&S. One of the best I've had I think, is very hoppy without being hop water

Cloudwater DIPA v4 - fantastic. What an aroma. Looking forward to trying v5.

Westbrook Gose - canned. Perfect salty sour.

Siren Calypso 577 - love this series. Fresh, tart, lip licker.

Odell Mountain Standard - a thicker, roasty, malty black IPA.

Spent some time in the sunshine at Beavertown this weekend during their monthly tap room opening. Had the Tempus Project Claussenii - Brett IPA, Tempus Project Phobos - Madeira BA Weizen Doppelbock, and Bloody 'Ell. As with most everything I've had from Beavertown, I enjoyed all but was not blown away. It was, however, pretty much a perfect day to sit out at the brewery.

Been a while since I posted, so here is a list of things I have been enjoying

Brewdog - Black Hammer (really loved this black IPA)
Cromarty - AKA IPA (lovely stuff all together)
    Mad Hatter - Manchester Tart
Brewdog - AB:19 (complex brew, loved it)
YellowBelly Beer - Great for the Town (great brewery from Wexford and this Strawberry Sour is perfect for the current hot weather)
    Westbrook - Gose (fantastic stuff)
Beavertown - Bloody Notorious (solid if a bit disappointing)
    Northern Monk - Heathen (yum)
Gigantic and Magic Rock - Holy Oak (superb)
Black Market Brewing - Aftermath IPA (delicious)
Buxton - Living End (one of my favourites)
Cloudwater and Magic Rock - Threes Company (better than any of the DIPA imo)
Galway Bay Brewery - Solemn Black (could drink buckets of this, which would be dangerous given the abv)

    Thinks that will do lol

A bottle of this disappeared from the box set in Tesco leaving it's five fellow Wychwood's companions still packed up in the store
    Muhahahaha

Best Wychwood's bottle shame it's not on sale individually
Then again straight into a box
It's got that in its favour
Perhaps another beer can break that bad expectations
    Greene King IPA Gold

Right troops, probably not the best place to post this as it's not from the UK, but wasn't sure which Italian thread I should post in.

Just back from 10 days in Italy with Mrs. K and had a ball, albeit an expensive ball. During our stay we had...

From La Guinguette Baladin microwbrewery in Jesolo Pineta,
American IPA - we both liked this refreshing IPA especially in the 32 degree heat,
Belgian Brune - fantastic 9% Leffe Brune like beer, both really liked,
Saison - again both liked this 6% Duvel like beer.

    Santa Lucia bar in Venice,
    Grimbergen - Blonde,
    Grimbergen - Double,
    Grimbergen - Blanche,
    Chouffe - Soleil.
Grimbergen - Double being the standout and at 6.50 euros for 500ml was probably as good value for money as we got in Venice.

Now for the bar I've been waiting a year to get into, since we went there last July and it wasn't open - Il Santo Bevatore...X
Easily the best bar I've ever been to in Italy and I've been going there since 1983. 20 quality beers on at any time and a very good bottle selection as well, had...
Porter House - Oyster Stout, Mrs. K described as tasting like Brewdog Prototype Milk Stout,
La Trappe - Dubbel, sure most of us have had this and it's fab,
Birificio Brewfist - Grapefruit Saison (wow), both loved this beer, sharp, fruity, refreshing and perfect with the heat,
Birificio Italiano - Nigredo Black IPA (another wow) coffee, cream, hoppiness and a pleasant bitterness,
Borderline Brewery - American Oat Brown Ale, another winner, 7.4%, but smooth and creamy.
Went on to their own gin at this point, but that's for some other website. It was 7 euros for every 40ml beer, not cheap, but absolute quality.

Also picked up a few beer from various supermarkets including for Hanglow...
    Tennants - Super,
    Tennants - Scotch Ale,
    Tennants - Pale Ale

40ml beers? Am I reading that right? So for a pint it would be over 70 euros?

Oh thank goodness for that, could be worse then!

Have the whole weekend off, rarely, so sat by the river in Richmond today and had lunch courtesy of a Portuguese street food stall. Accompanying it was a can of Northern Monk Eternal Session IPA which has to be one of the best session IPAs around, and the magnificent (branding-wise it has to be the best) Fourpure Juicebox tropical pale ale. All the while listening to La Dispute and Sonic Youth.

Stumbled across Hawkshead Brewery's Northern Craft beer fest on Saturday.

    Hawkshead IPA - a zingy IPA, a healthy 7%.
Hawkshead Tonka - dark fruity number. All sorts going on, would like to get some in stock for winter.
Hawkshead ITI - session stuff. Unremarkable, but quaffable.
Hawkshead Solar Sour - refreshing sour, needed a bit more nip for me.
Hawkshead Brodie's Prime Export - thick, dark. Again, winter stock.
Marble Built to Fall - a good, solid summer beer.

As it was unplanned, didn't have that much time to sample more, regrettably. And as it was the last day, a lot of the other brewer's stuff had ran out (Cloudwater, Vocation, Buxton for example).
But the couple of hours we had there were thoroughly enjoyable - pencilled in next year, properly!

    BD Five AM Saint
I think they have upped the hops
Much better but it needs a sweeter edge to get that red ale effect I recognise

Poachers choice on the other hand
    Bleurgh
What have they done to it
It was the one decent Bader beer
There is awful tartness, are they using artificial sweetener?
