JK handled it right. Didn't say anything about wristbands until they gave a five minute warning. If anyone was using the bathroom, ran to their car, etc. they had time to get back. If there was anyone who planted a chair and then left, thinking they could return at 11:50 or so, they would have had to go to the back of the line.

chair place holder is fine as long as that correlates to an actual person that is there more than he is away. i remember the specs black friday line, dude that was in front plopped down 3 empty chairs and said his buddy was coming at 8am to wait. #gtfo

Everyone that has a chair was sitting in the shade at a table. Genius.

That changed at 10:30 when they announced wristbands.
I was 5 feet from mine. If that eases your frustration with the chair game a tad.
There weren't more than 10 of them

Ya, the big problem is if people put down a chair and leave, then dont come back until right when bottles start selling. How do you regulate that?

BTW. Thanks @JesterKing for the food yesterday. I climb through 2 feet deep itchy weeds parking, stood in line for an hour+ in midday sun, met many happy to wait in the sun, non-griping people. Shared a few brews with others. Was next in line when the draft ran out and all was fine. Met a man that drove from Marfa and was happy to do so. #justbeer

Someone that attempts to place a foot up my ass...or actually anyone in my vicinity...in a Jester King line...won't get it back.

@JesterKing did about as slick a job as I could've asked for today. I got there early, about 100 deep, sat in mostly shade for about 2 hours, 40 minutes, got up and moved down the line quickly, got my two bottles, walked over to the pour line, zoomed down that line and got a pour and thought the world was pretty dang awesome.

Then I saw the pour line dwindling but still some glasses with the red stuff coming out and figured what the hell? Let's try to get another.

This is the last 8 oz. pour of the 2016 batch ... not even kidding:

I took the photo at the table at 1:09 p.m., so I'd say they officially ran out about 1:06 p.m. Sunday. The bottles were gone sooner. Don't remember when.

It was fun and much more streamlined than I expected. I got two bottles and 16 oz. on tap Sunday, the only day I could make it; without JK's tiered release schedule, I'd have got nada. Talked to people around me, all super friendly, and the staff was super cool and all in all had a blast.

The people who owned those chairs were standing 20ft away under a tree in the shade today. Once wristbands were handed out they moved back and assumed the position.

I really dont understand why so many people have a problem with this.

My problem is that there is so little talk about the beer in this thread and just complaining about release format. No one gave an honest reply to my question two pages back on how it tasted.

I had no problem with the chairs. Honestly, I thought it was goofy, not exploitative. I tried to put my umbrella next in line, but it didn't work very well lol

Yes. I'm happy the Atrial release is over. While upcoming releases like Fen Tao, Nocturn Chrysalis, and Aurelian Lure should be popular, I don't expect them to be anything like this weekend. And Noble Sandwich Co. is awesome.

This^...you guys needs to brew something with that slaw that Noble is slanging.

    We were very appreciative.
I've got no idea on the arrangement you guys had, but my wife and I have dropped well over $60 in that place a couple of times. Good stuff

I'd been wanting to try Noble Sandwich Co since seeing them on Food Network a few years ago, so yesterday was definitely a treat.
