Cycle beers are still really good but they've been flooding the market with them lately so they aren't as special as they once were.

I think that's kind of been the point this year. Doug has supposedly tried to kill the value of cycle on the secondary market. Not sure how true this is but have heard/read it from many different sources. Either way I will keep enjoying them.

Would not surprise me. The last few that were simply barrel aged I tried with friends and they were pretty disappointed but that's going to happen when the previous released were BA with treatments.

People need to manage their expectations on what they're drinking. If it's a Cycle Rye Whiskey BA Stout. It's going to be a viscous chocolate stout with a lot of bitter rye barrel. Tasted just like it should. People are looking at the name Cycle and not what the actual beer is when saying it.

Any seasoned vets out there have an idea how long this will last? My run of bad luck on beer releases continues and wondering if I will have a chance to get it tomorrow. Thanks for the help!

I heard there is a large amount, since it's all brewery only. Not sure what the crowd will be like, but I heard they expect it to last a while. Which definitely means into the night. Not sure about tomorrow, again depends on the crowd. It's a $20 22oz, so that might deter some but CCB also has a good following and the fact it's not BA, will attract more regular beer drinkers.

I can't get there until 7:00. You think it will still be available?

$20 for a bomber is going to deter a lot of buyers. I expect it will be around a couple of days.

Hundreds of peeps just dropped cash Saturday at Angry Chair for IGCCS and I know they're saving cash for the Cycle week coming up soon, so I'm guessing it will be there a day or two.

Line not too long right now, just barely into the tap room from the fermentorium

I think you mean CCB. Mekong isn't releasing bottles until Aug 19th.

Im pretty sure since this is the Cycle/CCB thread, everyone understands that Mekong means the beer, not the place in Virginia.

I've been seeing pics of Guayabera in labeled cans - anyone know if those are being distributed to south FL? That'd be a fantastic pool / beach beer

Not going to distro, at least not yet, it's brewery only. And at $10 a 6 pack it's a no brainer.

Agree. Guayabera 6 packs at that price is a great deal.

I was at CCB for a couple hours last night. I did not see many people buying the limit. Should be around for awhile today I would think.

Totally agree with this. I saw many more people buying less than the limit than were buying the limit.
