I had the 32oz growler fill, and found it very pleasing. The more you drink of it the coconut fades, so it's very strong as a taster, but not bad as a full pour either.

    I thought it was great!

I was there around 5pm and they had it on

when the Bruery does a coconut beer, they go all out. it was as coconutty as i remember Mash and Coconut. both of which make me think of Hawaii, where i'm going

I'd say The Bruery does coconut beers better than anyone else. I lucked out and got to split a 64oz of Mash & Coconut that blew my mind, and Melange #9 was damn perfect.

To be honest, I only remembered the "best in show" one apart from my team's. We "kept it simple stupid" and made a cinnamon bun inspired treatment called "Sunday Bun-day". Added cinnamon, vanilla bean, and a touch of coconut. Excited to do some more prep and make the next version even better!

And for some reason they just won't add it to Black Tuesday

I wonder if there are concerns that the amount of artificial coconut it would take to become flavorful in BT would take away too much from the base beer. It isn't like they could use real coconut since that would fall off super fast (hawaiian speedway as an example).

Why could they use real coconut for Mash and Coconut and Melange #9, but not BT? I have a feeling quick flavor degradation in Hawaiian Speedway was more due to the dosage rate than the type of coconut used.

Either way, I think everyone would agree that the general idea of coconut + BT has serious potential. If only the Bruery would give us a coconutty day of the week already!

Coconut BT would kill. I had a '13 Bourbon County Prop right it's release and loved the boozy, sweet, barrel flavor mix with coconut, it would be perfect in BT. That beer, along OB Death by Coconut renewed my interest in coconut additions, as most everything else can't pull it off well.

Looks like there's a name for a Terreux collaboration (with Call To Arms Brewery out of Denver). It's called Deinde Repedo, a barrel fermented saison with Brett and Blueberries.

Anyone else having trouble getting the snifter from the email? Mine keeps coming up as sold out. There is nothing mentioned in the email about this being limited or first come first served, nor on the site when you get to the page?

They've already come and mentioned that the glassware has sold out. It was a first come-first served item. That, frankly, was lucky to have even made the website.

To be honest, the bag is just ok. The insulation is thin and if too much moisture builds up, it does leak. It's not waterproof.

That being said, I use it all the time and is great for just moving some bottles from house to house.

Yep, in quality it's inferior to the earlier growler bag they did (I can't remember what year anymore) that held 1 growler or 3 750ml bottles. If they had done a 2 growler/6 bottle version of that, it would've been perfect.

Yeah, having received it for free, it's convenient for carrying bottles/growlers around even without much insulation. However, I wouldn't bother paying for it on its own.
