I got there at 7 and it took less than a minute. Perfect pickup. Excited to crack a few this week

I got there at 3:45 and got my bottles at 5. Just seemed like everybody decided to show up/get in line at the same time...

Line was just very slow unless you got there and in line before 3 or much later. Lots of people needing case after case of beer. Then waiting for a dolley to move it. They eventually split the line into two, but they were A through R and S through Z. Didn't know that until I was already at the front though.

The long lines were most likely the result of having 5 Funk Factory beers with only a 2 bottle limit. Previous releases with only 2 beers and a 6 bottle limit probably had close to 1/3 the amount of people picking up bottles. 200% or more additional people in a small space isn't conducive for a speedy pickup.

Was a good time and enjoyed some O'so stuff (and Cassian) on tap while we waited. It really was just a bum-rush at the "same time" ( 3:30-5:00 window) it seemed. I think we walked in at 3:30/3:45 and saw a good sized line already. We figured we'd wait a little bit to see if the line would shrink but it was only growing it appeared so roughly an hour later we hopped in line, back in the Homebrew Store and waited, probably 40 minutes, if I had to guess. It is what it is, again, I've no complaints. It was odd though, as once the few people in front of us and then us 2 got up to the table we had our beers and were on our way within a minute. The hold-ups and line tempo issues must be, as already alluded to, people with huge proxy lists and cases upon cases to pick up.

And hey, there's a thought! A line for proxies who have pick-ups for more than x-number of people...call it 3, 4, 5, whatever. People picking up for themselves and maybe another person or 2 can then scoot through their own line in a quicker manner. Just a thought, probably with it's own issues.

I was there around 2:40.. showed up early. People started forming a line at 2:55... Doors open, no one goes in. So I walked past and asked if it was good to go, sure enough. People just didn't want their beer I guess. My wife scolded me, but I got the line moving. If you're gonna stand around, I'm going to do something about it.

Yea, sorry about the long lines. It was mostly due to everyone deciding to pick up their bottles in that 3:00 to 5:30 window. After 6 or so the line was empty and you could walk right up. I think we would have been able to handle things a lot better, but there was a lot of people who didn't assign a trustee, or changed it last minute, or bought bottles in the wrong name... I want to be flexible and accommodating with the trustee system, but I might have to be a little more strict about what is and isn't allowed in the future.

So, aside from a few hours of stress, things seemed to go well. Thanks all for coming out, and hope you are enjoying the beer!

Oh, and we did bring in the large trustees ahead of time. (Those picking up 100 or more bottles)

Not a big issue, was just responding to the questions asked. I'd wait that long again if needed, but certainly the process can try to be improved for next time. This was my only and first time there in person, so that's all I'm going off.

I think it has some great trading potential flavors, and some vary faint notes of .rar.

(Just jealous I couldn't make the release. Would love to here some insight on how it tastes, as well.)

I really dig the blood orange tradeship reminded me of a really sour mimosa. If the others are in the same vein I'm going to have a great time with the dry hopped and prickly pear versions.

Had the dry hopped over the weekend. Amazing. So funky and complex. Excited to crack a prickly pear soon.

Don't have my bottles in hand just yet, otherwise you'd see at least one review

Can anyone tell me how to tell the Door Kriek batches apart from one another? Traded for my bottle in Dec '14 if that helps. Cheers.

You have batch one. Batch two has 2015 on the front of the label (below the tree on the right) and was released this past January, I believe.
