I think this is a great way to do releases as well. I may not make the drive down but if it were KBBS, MD, Assassin, or SR71 I would make the trek in order to have a chalice and a Sue.

How many ounces in a TG chalice?

They weren't on my radar the last time they were released, but if any of the three are just a matter of showing up sometime during a specified week, I'm in. I'd be surprised if it's that easy given how quickly King Sue disappears. I don't think any of those were anywhere near as coveted and renowned as they are now.

If it's open to anyone, even with bottle limits there will be people there with a 20 mule team given the secondary market prices. At a minimum most people will bring their spouse/significant other to double up on quantity.

If I had to guess, I'd guess Mug club members will get the option to buy a couple bottles each, then they'll take the rest and either do a lottery or first com/first served at the taproom. Either one of those will be iffy unless you can drop everything at a moment's notice for fc/fs and you don't live too far away.

All 3 absolutely were already a big deal the last time each was released. Conjecture about what may happen in the future is just that, conjecture. I am talking about facts. They were easier to get than MD.

Well of course it's impossible to get something you don't know about. But that's why you have to keep yourself informed. It isn't hard. Cheers!

That's the point....I wasn't "chasing" then, so keeping informed wasn't on my radar. the only TG I was drinking then was the occasion PS or Tsunami or whatver that was on tap.

If you're referring to 4 pack cans of pseudosue, I picked up some 7/20 cans yesterday. Can't speak to specific dates with absolute certainty on the others you mention, but I recall getting some NugMo in late June. Not sure if there has been another run since then. I believe the XHops Silver I saw yesterday was dated around 7/8, but again, not sure if there's been another run since then.

Looks like everyone is loving on Xhops Silver. I thought it was terrible. Between 3 of us, we actually poured some out. Had an oniony, earthy nastiness to it. I have one more bottle. I may tap into that this weekend. My buddy bought it while I was out of state. I think he left it in his truck. Would that have any effect?

If he left it in his truck and it got really hot in there then yes it could definitely affect the flavor, depends how long it was in there and how hot it got though.

I dare say that Mosaic Nugget is better than Mosaic Sue.

I like Sue just as much as the next guy, but good Golden Nugget is a really good beer. And I might be talking regular versions too.
