Good to know I'm not the only one. Had promise... I've had Tweak (agreed - fantastic), and have an Uncle J that I'm waiting on. We get some of the Avery gold foil in IL, but not all of it, and it takes FOREVER to get here. So I figured I'll stir while the irons hot and bring em home.

Last keg until the next batch (2nd use of the barrels) is ready this winter I'm being told. Still on tap today if anyone is looking to get some. I'll be here enjoying this super delicious, highly weather inappropriate beer for the next hour or so

Avery Vanilla Bean Stout from a bottle is pretty awesome. Had a Growler before. I reckon that I appreciate it more this time around.

I'm on board with that. For the price point, it's pretty good.

A coworker is heading out that way soon, any must haves that you guys would recommend that would still be available around now? We're from Michigan and I just really don't pay attention to the mountain region that much as I never make it there.

Can't think of any big releases that would still be on shelves, but one that often gets overlooked because of its mass production is Big Bad Baptist from Epic. Not sure if MI gets their distro, but it is a fantastic beer.

Thanks. We do get BBB just not that often. I think I might have one still in the basement though.

No idea why they've never bottled it, but I think BA Czar is the best of Avery's barrel-aged stout offerings. It at least used to be a common sight in their tasting room and kegs showed up at Rackhouse and Lucky Pie here and there.
I assume they've never snuck it out under a different name...right?

It's not a stout, but Dry Dock's BB Double Apricot Blonde is well worth picking up. It is maybe the most unique thing you'll find here right now.

Diebolt Commodore is quite good and you might still be able to find it around. Not sure if you all get Great Divide limited releases, but BA Yeti might still be around.

Both were on my list
We used to get great divide, but no more. I've snagged oak aged, espresso etc but not the BA. We'll see what happened.

Also threw BA ground control out to her, as it was out awhile ago. But no clue if it is still around.

Saw BA Yeti for $20.99, which is $4-$5 less than Chicago area.
Chubna was at Small Batch Liquors- stop at Hops and Pie if you head that way.

Don't know where your coworker is gonna be, but in Boulder this can be found aplenty (depending on the store).

If he can make it to Grapevine, they currently have several Dry Dock Signature series beers available

Right now Dry Dock North has '15 Bligh's, Casacara Imp Stout and Double Apricot in the cooler (for BA beers). They also have Funk No. 1 which can't be purchased outside of their taprooms (from my understanding).
Grapevine has a larger selection at the moment. And they wouldn't do a Crowler fill for me of the Double Apricot. Historically they have Crowlered their BA offerings, but not this one for some reason. Though it could depend on who's working.
    It's always worth stopping in.

All of those sound great, I sent the info along. At this point Its just going to be a surprise what, if anything, makes it back for me.

Unless he ignores everything, there is no going wrong.

I believe this one was a lot more limited than the others. I could be imagining that, but I believe it was on their Facebook.
