I'm not sure on either account. I tend to geek out more over beer than he does. I take it straight home and put it in the fridge. Him, not so much. I need a new mule, er, I mean friend. I'm just disappointed if it really is that good and mine tasted like shit.

 

Ya man that would be a total bummer. Not to rub it in, but I personally thought Silver was amazing. Wish it was more readily available. Maybe try getting another bottle and seeing if that makes a difference if you feel like you're missing out.

They were selling 22 oz bombers of Morning Delight in the taproom this afternoon (Friday). Servers said the guys randomly dropped off 1 or 2 cases to sell (can't remember, wasn't much left when I was there). $50 each.

 

Apparently it's long gone.

 

Damn, and I was led to believe it is Thursday!

Anyone know if turm oil was a single barrel or a blend...First clark said it was a barrel that was giving them trouble...but then he said they had fun pulling it from the barrels...meaning more than one barrel was trouble and they blended them?

 

FWIW... Server at the tap room today said there are two (unblended) barrels.

The barrel giving them trouble doesn't necessarily mean off flavors or infection. Alluvial's recent BA Big Yin Scottish Ale in Four Roses bourbon barrels wounded up getting kegged up earlier than they had planned (4-5 months in IIRC) because of a leaky barrel, but based on the style that time turned out well for the style and they wound up with a delicious end product.

 

So what is Term Oil? Bourbon Barrel Stout? Any specifics?

Perfect....so it should last for a decent while...I mean one barrel is something like 900 6 ounce pours

 

sound like 10oz pours.. from 53 gallon barrels I'm hoping for about 650 pours. And at 1 per person it should last through the weekend. I wonder what size kegs they used. Anyone up for a bottle share at TG next week?
