Stack of cases out on the floor at Discount Drinks in Wyandotte last Saturday. $15.99 a sixer IIRC, no limit I assume (I only got one sixer).

DD tends to keep the rarer stuff (e.g. Hopslam) behind the counter and dole it out with limits, so they must not have thought this one was all that rare.

    Yeah...not so hard to find.

Now shouldn't a place that sells this much oracle get some blacknote?

That's a shit load! I applaud Bells for their continued 6 pack format and consider the 13-15 dollar six pack a bargain. This is a big beer that has grown on me with each bottle. Is it bitter, hell yes, but that can be a good thing too!

My shop had the Oracle at $19.99, fwiw. Still several cases left at Pine Knob in Clarkston (7/28).
Also, fwiw, I greatly preferred Hopsolution when I tasted side by side with Oracle last weekend.

Interesting opinion, especially with a couple month's worth of age on your Hopsolution (mine was bottled back on 5/4).

Hopsolution didn't do much for me, I'd choose Oracle over it every single time. To each their own, cheers!

Oracle certainly isn't flying off the shelf like it was last year.

I don't think any beer is, for the most part. Countless new breweries, tons of new beer in distribution from in-state and out-of-state breweries. New releases every week, basically. Unless its new, super rare, super juicy/hazy, or aged in bourbon barrels people aren't rushing around for it.

Yep. My buying strategy is changing over the years. I would buy multiple sixers of the releases I look forward to each year. Now, I often buy a few singles instead since there are too many releases to enjoy. My normal six of oracle was replaced by some bodhi.

Did they make more? I was at the Galesburg brewery in March, and the expansion project was huge.

    Could be. Good point.
