Late Night BeerAdvocate - Saturday 3/10/12

I have yet to have the Nitro on-tap. I haven't had the regular version of this for a long time but man am I happy I picked this up. I kind of took this beer for granted. Definitely one of the better stouts out there. Such a great flavor. As far as the nitro, I just find that nitro doesn't do it for me. The feel just isn't quite as satisfying as CO2 is, just a personal preference. That being said, the great flavor is certainly still there, just a feel thing.

I wouldn't go for the Summerfest, it's probably at least 6 months old.

 

Big fan of Schlenkerla here. I just tried the Eiche for the first time in about a year and my that's some good stuff! I'll have to get some more.

As for tonight, something quite different: Boon Gueuze Mariage Parfait, from 2007. Flavors very very hard to describe, but I like it. A lot.

 

Had a few Ebel's Weiss, an ST Choklat, and now my 2nd Zombie Dust since 2pm in an attempt to wipe that wretched KBS release from my mind.

 

Just finished watching Beer Wars while sipping some Duvel. Pretty interesting film.

 

I switched to König Pilsener. Listening to King Crimson - Red

 

Two cans of righteous ale... looking back a few years I'm not sure how I would have thought about canned beer

Arg! That looks good and I have been looking for a bottle forever. How is the level of smoke in that one?

 

Springing forward with some DFH 120 IPA, although I could see this leading to more of a falling over if I'm not careful.

 

Started out the early evening with Maui Big Swell IPA, Alaskan Black IPA, and Cismontane The Citizen.
