I'm looking forward to EWS Mosaic (no, it hasn't been mentioned that it is a thing yet) or a re-brew of EWS Nelson with the changes Hoof has been making recently.

What ever became of EWS Calypso?

Just from my experience, I think Hoof is making great progress in terms of having their beer matured in cans when people buy them. I missed out on the simcoe but everyones' reactions are what I would imagine it would be. Simcoe is a damn good hop.

I'd love to see them do Citra again with their new process. I loved it the first time but can see how it could be even better.

I was fortunate enough to try the EWS Simcoe this afternoon at the brewpub after the CV Dire Wolf release this morning, and I do agree, it was quite fruity relative to my expectations. I should know by now, when it comes to Hoofy brews, I should probably just put my expectations to the side. I got exotic fruits in addition to what you describe, like passionfruit and dragonfruit, while it was still a little woody and dank, but not quite piney, as you mention. Definitely unique, albeit not enough to knock SoE or KD out of my tops.

By the way, if it's of any interest to anyone, they actually had a Hill Farmstead/Blaugies collab on draft this weekend--pretty shocking to see that name in Ohio, first time for me.

Anyway, will there be a release this weekend?

La Vermontoise? Shelf beer in OH and everywhere else. Not really a Hill beer, just a collab they did years ago that's been rebrewed again and again by Blaugies.

Yeah that's the one, wow I didn't realize that. Guess I don't look too closely at Blaugies bottles very often.

Hoof has very limited distribution. Generally very little on their high end releases like Konkey Dong.

Have anyone else had Tickling the Ivories? Just curious how the thoughts are on it!

Remember if it was more piney or fruity? Comparable to other IPA's from Hoof?

Fruity for sure. Wasn't hazy. Reminded me of Wangbar a bit.

I was excited for Tickling the Ivories until I saw the use of Brett (even as a co-yeast pilot!)... Just not a fan of that, especially in an IPA.

Tickets really flying on this one, good grief. tempted to go early and maybe score some leftover EWS Simcoe cans.

This is the biggest allotment yet (400 tickets). They might be increasing capacity, but demand isn't there for the non-flagship beers. I look forward to the lack of crowds this Sunday.

Skin Froot is on the draft list.
