Beachwood BBQ Beer Releases Thread

We thought it was time to chime in on some of the comments we've been seeing here.

-We have been brewing in HB since our ABC license cleared.

-We are using an American-made JV Northwest brewhouse. While different than the Premier system we use in LB, it is an excellent brewhouse--very similar to the one that the guys at Societe use.

-We are stoked on the quality of the HB beers. Julian spent a lot of time figuring out the new (to us) system before he started brewing on it. In fact, we believe the batch of Citraholic that has been released from Huntington Beach is one of the best batches we have ever produced. Our loyal customers have been drinking HB-made Foam Top, Alpha Galactic, Amalgamator and Citraholic for almost 2 months now.

-Delivery of additional equipment (including a bottling line) and some construction still needs to happen before we can open the tasting room. We don't know exactly when we'll complete these projects; assuming we don't run into any major issues, we could potentially open sometime in late summer or early fall...but don't quote us on that.

-While we definitely hope to build Mocha Machine into the brewing schedule in Huntington Beach and produce it more regularly than we've been able to in LB, there are a lot of things that need to happen before that is possible. So the August/September timeframe that was mentioned in this thread is optimistic at this point--we will see.

 

Will HB be beachwood only growlers? Any chance of a policy change location wide or 32oz? Have to ask..

Anywho it's great to hear some news straight from the source about this and even better to hear that things seem to be going swimmingly. Here's hoping the HB taproom will open sooner rather than later.

Quick question, will just beer be served from there or are you guys itching to bring some of that tasty food to Huntington Beach as well?

 

I've tried most of the HB beers and they been fantastic. Every batch of beer is slightly different than the last. Can't wait to you guys open that tasting room.

 

The citraholic I had last week at Piedog and Out Of The Park Pizza tasted amazing.

 

Mocha Machine growler fills at LB today. Feels like winning the lottery walking out with that bad boy. Do they always do fills when it's on or just initially?

64oz of MM is a lot. Hope your sharing it and indoors with this heatwave. This is the reason why I'd like to see 32oz growlers at BWBBQ&B.

On a related note I saved my Mocha Machine growler for six days and it lost a significant amount of carbonation during that time. Still delicious but not as good as fully carbed.
