You guys do know speaking ill of Jackie O's on here is Sacrilegious blasphemy right? I simply compared the price of their BA stout to another and let me tell you... Based off my response. Its safe to say... It's your taste buds that are infected, not the beer! Thou shalt not speak ill of Jackie O's here!! They do no wrong!

I'm just trolling, and honestly everything I have had from them since this incident has actually been a total knock out of the park. Jokes aside, I was down on their pricing and was proved wrong... Hope they acknowledge this though. At their price point they NEED to either get it right or MAKE it right!

I contacted the brewery and they suggested I crack another. A few people contacted them about the same issue but the next bottles they opened were fine.

And what if you didn't have another? Oh well? lol

Hopefully they stay clean in my book. It took a large hurdle for me to get over the price point, now that I am on board, I'm hooked. Not that it matters, they'll sell it all anyways.

Any Bodhi bottles making it down to Cincy? I'll be in town in a couple weeks. Any chance of picking it up?

Unfortunately, Columbus Brewing doesn't make it to Cincy. We've had draft a few times, but never packaged stuff. We are urgently waiting, however.

I'm really like Jackie o stuff but I'm not gonna lie I'm started to get rubbed the wrong way with the high prices. 13 bucks for one bottle is getting a little much.
That being said did anyone try the bb oil? I liked it but thought it would be a little bit better I though the bourbon kind of covered the original beer up

No one is making you buy it. If you don't want to spend $13 on one beer there are lots of other options. Their price point has been discussed here ad nauseam and most people seem to think it's reasonable for the quality of the beer and the size of the operation. There are examples of less expensive BA beers and MUCH more expensive; their prices aren't going down any time soon.

They are expensive, but so is most good beer.
If you can find Firestone Walker bombers for $18 (usually closer to 30) then stuff like Suaba and Parabola is at least $0.82/oz. Most of the Bruery 750's (Chocolate Rain, BT, Mocha...) are about $32, so that is roughly $1.26/oz. Jackie O's bottles are around $0.95/oz if my math is right. Which puts them in line with some much larger breweries. Plus they aren't stupid bombers (at least most of the high abv/barrel aged)

It's always funny when a cashier rings you up and feels like they have to price check it not once, not twice, but three times, and you as the customer have to say, no, it's okay, that "six pack" really is $72. :grinning: It's happened to me at least a half dozen times this year, even at Lizardville where they should be damn well used to the high prices by now, since even their cheaper singles can pinch a little.

That is a good point and one of my favorite things about their BA beers. I can't (or very infrequently am in the mood to) drink a whole bomber of a 12+% BA beer by myself.
