I cannot believe I have never had Congress Street before. These cans from today are delicious.

If I head to Canton tomorrow in the afternoon will I be able to get cans? Someone threw away all of my growlers and national ipa day is rapidly approaching...i need some f-in hop juice!

Yes, they'll have a good selection of 2-4 types of beer in cans. And I think today is "National IPA Day," but everyday is beer day...

It's a very good beer - but if you haven't tried the DDH version, you're really in for a treat

I haven't! Sadly, I leave Sunday but maybe next time those will be canned while I'm here.

Man, you can walk out with 6 cases of cans and two cases of stouts today. Trillium is doing it right!

I hope they have this when I'm in Boston next week. That sounds like a treat.

It's not on the 'up next' list, so prob not. Still lotta great choices tho...

I totally ignored their website! Is that 'up next' list what they will be releasing next week? or just in general?

Not to get your hopes up but the Next Up list isn't their bible. For example, Cutting Tiles was never on the Next Up list. There's a chance you'll see some DDH or DIPA released next week without seeing it on there beforehand.

Beers towards the beginning of the list tend to be a week out with the beers near the end being 2-3 weeks. It's also just a teaser as they frequently release things that are never mentioned on the list

No hopes are up. Whatever they have when I go there, I will be happy with. The only beers I have had from them were Pocket Pigeon and Fort Point. Both were awesome.

Yeah, like the Soak Series, when I happened to get lucky and check the list that morning from NYC before driving back to Boston, and arrived at Canton at 5:23 pm able to buy 4 of the last 10 Peach Soaks available...

To my ignorant palate, the DDH Fort Point is a good substitute - and they could well have that. Have a great visit - whatever they have, you won't be disappointed

As great as it is to get in and out of Trillium with insane amounts of world-class beer in under five minutes, can I bitch for a second about traffic?

It took me almost an hour to get from Bedford down to Canton today, leaving at 1. The traffic going the other way on 95 was so insane (backed up from about Route 2 to well past Needham, and apparently not moving at all) that I, like a dumbass, decided to go 93 North to 95 South, thinking, hey, it's about 2 on a Friday, there's no way this is worse. Twice as far, but going against any potential commuter traffic, what could happen? HA!

It was worse. Two-plus hours. Two hours. To go about 45 miles.

In all, it took me three hours to get to a brewery some 25 miles from my house and back. Starting at 1PM on a weekday. WTF Boston?

    W
    T
    F
    ?

Our highways have to be the worst in the nation, aside from LA. Designed by morons, overseen by numbnuts, and populated by Massholes.

(That said, I came away with some of the best hoppy beer known to man, so I'm not miffed about the value, just the awfulness of the trip)

My god, I forgot how good Pier is. Such an underrated, delicious brew. Perfect for 90+ degree Boston afternoons.

I agree with you on Pier...what a great beer. I would love to see this brewed a little more frequently.
