I know that Cantillon gets distributed to the UK, but I was wondering if any actually made its way to Ireland as I am traveling there for a week+. I'm also interested in other good beer that can be found (local or imported) while I'm there, so any and all suggestions are welcome!
    Cheers!

In short yes it does make it here on occasion, my local bottle shop in Belfast currently has a couple of varieties. Where in Ireland are you going and I can try to point you in the direction of some good bottle shops.

Don't think there's any left, maybe some rose de gambrinus, best place to check would be drinkstore in dublin.

Decent Belgian selection in redmonds of ranelagh, like oak aged straafe hendrik etc.

Regarding Irish beer, tend to be mostly IPAs, stouts, honestly cant think of anything "special" on the shelfs. Best bet would be to get UK stuff, like brewdog (their Abstrakt beers are still around and probably would interest you) and Siren.

I'll be all over. Starting in Dublin for a couple days, then heading south and making our way around the country clockwise. We'll be in Belfast next weekend.

Best bet(for dublin at least) is to just ring the places see i f they have what you want. Redmonds of Ranelagh, Baggot Street Wines, Drinkstore are the best places, latter in particular. I know redmonds has 2010 gueze mariage parfait.

Should be able to get brewdog in belfast, Farmageddon are a good belfast brewery, and Northbound (cant remember their name).

Keep an eye out for mescal(belgian irish beers), eight degrees, galway bay brewery, kinnegar, white hag(some of their st uff is v interesting),

Hey, I was wondering what the name of the bottle shop in Belfast was that has the Cantillon (and/or Drei Fonteinen)? I will be arriving in Belfast some time tomorrow and be there through Saturday, though I'm attending a wedding on Saturday. It would also be neat to meet up for a drink if possible!

Sorry haven't been on here in a while, for Cantillon the best bet would be Lighthouse Wines just on the outskirts of Belfast. Last time I was in they had 100% Bio Geuze and the Kriek version. For other Belgians like 3F etc. The Vineyard on the Ormeau Road which is fairly easy to get to from the city centre. They have a great selection of Belgians and the best of UK and Ireland. As for meeting up for a drink, I am organising this months Mikkeller Running Club that runs from Brewbot on the Ormeau Road on Saturday morning at 11:30. If you run you get a free beer

Thanks for the info! Unfortunately I won't be able to make the run as we need to be on a bus for the wedding by 12:30. Thanks for the invite though!

Brewbot - 12 rotating taps and hundreds of bottles
Woodworkers - 6 rotating taps and plenty of bottles
Others of note The Garrick, The Hudson, Sunflower bar and The Crown (you'll get cask in here)

    Hope this helps
