NEW Fantasy EPL Soccer BIF 2016/17

    Hello,

    The English Premier League season kicks-off next Saturday August 13th and we're getting a league together again this year.

    Accepting players for Fantasy EPL, run through the official premier league website. We play a classic, table format (not head-2-head). If you interested, and a US resident, drop me a message.

    Yeah, i haven't done one in a few years eather. Requirements will depend on how many people we get. If it's a small league I'm thinking maybe $30 of 90 point and above beer, everyone sends to the winner, If we get a larger group we can figure out something different. Years past we did it where everyone sends to someone, but after 10 months it's hard to track some people down. I'm open to suggestions.

    You know I'm in. I'd prefer winner take all but also open to a format where everyone gets some beers. Though like you said, some don't stick around the full season. We've had this issue in some past BA EPL BIFs. Thanks for starting this thread.

    I really enjoyed the everyone-gets-beer format, but fine with whatever. Might be easier to keep tabs on folks if the league stays small?

    I've started working on my roster. Will join league soon. Haven't been in epl bif for a bit and looking forward to it. Winner take all is okay, but I'd also be cool with some sort of lower tier exchanges too. Guess it depends on league size a bit. Should be awesome. thanks for starting the league and thread!

    Thanks all for joining! So let me know which you guys prefer.

    1) we can do where everyone sends $30 worth of 90 point and above beer to the winner

    2) With the current 8 that have messaged me, we can do
    a)2nd place sends 22 oz to the winner
    b)3rd place sends 36 oz to the 6th place
    c)4th place sends 48 oz to the 5th place
    d)5th place sends 60 oz to the 4th place
    e)6th place sends 72 oz to the 3rd place
    f)7th place sends 84 oz to the 2nd place
    g)8th place sends 100 oz to the winner
    h)Winner sends to nobody
    (We'll adjust if we get any more or less entry's)

    3) Open to suggestions.

    I'll participate no matter which option we choose. My preference would be winner take all (in case we have one or more who fall off the face of the Earth and bail like in past years). We could also set up separate cup and/or head-to-head competitions for certain gameweeks in order to (hopefully) spread the chance of receiving beer around to other players, plus keep some interest throughout the long season.

    Option 2 payouts seem fair to me as well (maybe clarify the 90+ rating and/or wants for this option too)... if we go this route, we should get contact details (email and/or phone #) for all the players in case they fall off BA - we should probably do that anyway.

    I agree with the winner takes all outcome. I'm hoping because it's not as big as past leagues it'll be easier to keep track of. I'm cool with eather way though.
    Also agree with everyone sending me there info along with their name on the pl website.
    Don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty stoked for tomorrow!

    Red Card Bandits in this to win it!! Lets do winner take all for the season and maybe have a couple gameweeks where the head to head do a trade one on one with winner getting bigger haul. could make some of those weeks fun and also impact wild card usage!!

    Been awhile since I participated in a BIF so what a nice surprise to receive not one, but two boxes on my porch this Friday afternoon. Perfect timing to kick the weekend off properly.

    First up from Jay (swenny916)... Pumped to get into these as I've never had anything from Toppling Goliath or Pulpit Rock.
