But again it's not that simple. If it is a week I work, that means my package will sit overnight in the apartment office. And even prime which has 2 day guaranteed shipping often needs a whole day of to process. I'm also willing to admin I'm skeptical and distrusting and my opinion is skewed.

Edit- that UPS ground shipping.... not cheap

I think I'm going to look into getting some dry yeasts for a couple stouts I was going to make soon-ish for the winter. The Mangrove Jack British ale, and Newcastle Dark Ale grabbed my attention.

@corbmoster there is also Texas Brewing Inc outside of Ft Worth. $7.95 UPS ground flat-rate shipping. Shows up at my house (in Dallas) the next morning. I imagine it wouldn't take much longer to Huntsville. I have no affiliation with them other than thinking they are the best supplier (selection, quality, price, etc) in Texas.

I won't argue with the selection part or Texas part

Buy a few more vials of yeast in May and plan ahead .My old homebrew shop would get money back on expired vials of Whitelabs, but he said he would get nothing for the Wyeast. He would give them to me for free if they were old. At the very least the shop owner should give you a 50% discount. Make a starter and you're good. Or use dry yeast?

A follow up, sort of. I had made an order with Austin Homebrew Supply (which I found out was bought by Adventures in Home Brewing). I had accidentally selected pick up for shipping. I called and had it changed Tuesday afternoon. Shipping is only $5 within Texas, if the purchase is $50 or more (not advertised apparently). It was at my apartment office in 25 hours and one minute from the time I hung up. Granted, the order had already been assembled and boxed. It merely needed to be handed to UPS with a label. I will be doubting you less @PortLargo , I'm just very skeptical by nature. Especially with anything postal / shipping.
