    Hi all,

In regards to the quoted interview, it's important to take those with a grain of salt. It was voice recorded, and the way it read to me, was exactly as the voice recorder would have recorded it.

It was simply me being honest about things. It can be difficult transferring certain levels of context that are more easily gleened from an in-person conversation. Logistically, scaling can be difficult due to the variables involved. Thanks to the support of craft beer fans, we've grown at a pace that makes growing problems even harder at times. Thankfully, the team there has continued to grow in both experience and knowledge and that's helped tremendously. They're very good at what they do! Curt is there to help facilitate communication indepartmentally, which should help people focus more in their own departments while still being in the loop as far as what's going on overall - he's great at this!

I don't like bringing other breweries into a drama thread, but it's important to note, while other breweries may have a collaborative allure, it's not exactly the whole story. Sure, collaboration days involve a ton of collaboration - that's why they're called that and why they're done! Working together with a team mentality and brainstorming together has always been a major focus and always should be, but decisions need to be made at times. With brewing, meticulousness is key; if you think other brewers/breweries are allowing SOP changes for fun, you're fooling yourself. This doesn't mean I, or anyone, is always right - I'm not saying that at all!

Brewing is beautiful; a way to bring all sorts of people together, but it does have to be done well and with discipline. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of room for fun therein, but the beer ending up great is a more fulfilling experience for every dedicated brewer I've come across.

Sorry for the soapbox, folks! Let's get back to beer, shall we?

How was the ba chain smoker?

I attended the dinner as well. Very well executed by Rubaiyat. Clark did unequivocally state that the maple for MD comes from his family's farm, which made me think of BA.

Very good! The smoke is really subtle.

Being incredibly obtuse here but is this a confirmation he's still at TG? My simple mind needs either a "Hell yeah I'm still here" or "Hell no I'm out"

Schrodinger's brewer: he is simultaneously employed and not employed at TG until someone drives down and takes pictures of him on the brew deck.

The fact that he didn't comment on it likely means the opposite. The verbiage in the paragraph would also indicate that. And the fact that he abandoned his @TgBC profile and made a new one.

I hope his new brewery is closer to my house.

I feel like this was written specifically to avoid directly answering the "is Mike still at TG?" question.

You refer to TG as though you are still there:

"...we've grown at a pace that makes growing problems even harder at times."

But also as though you are no longer a part of the team:

"Thankfully, the team there has continued to grow in both experience and knowledge and that's helped tremendously. They're very good at what they do! Curt is there to help facilitate communication indepartmentally..."

I don't expect an answer, and ultimately it doesn't matter if we get one, but are you still employed at TG?

Ay. Folks, it's a public forum. Whether Mike is still there or not will come to light eventually. Most folks with tact would keep this under wraps on a public forum until something official is released. It appears that he is being professional and tactful, even if it bugs us beer geeks because we want to know.

Don't care if he is there or not. I'm not wrapped up in the "romanticism" of the beer as I drink it.

"Wow this tastes so good, because I'm like an "insider" because I know the name of the brewer and know what he looks like".

If the beer tastes good, I'll buy it. Otherwise....no. Don't care if robots are making it, some dude from a small town in Decorah, or an amateur.

You realize it tastes good because he makes it, right? If someone else could make beer that good we'd flock to their brewery and throw money at them.

Love the robots idea. Let's get robots to brew beer that of good, I buy one!
Actually, the same hold true for cooking. You can't just have anyone cook your burger or steak. My wife does it wrong every time, that's why I have to do it. Same with beer, Mike brews it.

Is this the next TG puzzle?

Maybe if we combine the user id of the new @brewmastamike account with the time it posted, we could get a telephone number to call for the next step?
