I'm sure that coming back from RR you could find some grimm cans, even if Pliny has been overrated for several years.

sorry, it's looking like the week of 8/22 is afterimage :/

They should be hitting the streets any moment. We're really happy with this year's vintage.

Thanks! We are very psyched about the results! We LOVE these blind tastings. It's the only real way to cut through the hype and get down to what's really going on in the liquid. It feels like an honor to be ranked among some of these breweries that we regard as some of the best IPA producers on the planet. Gotta congratulate Prison City! Bring your A game next year guys because we intend to take the #1 slot.

$14.99 a bottle at Westside Market. Gone are the days that double negative sat on a whole foods shelf for $9.99.

You are lucky to even have known those days! Sadly I was late to the Grimm party, though I do recall seeing bottles of Bees with a Buzz sitting on the shelves of Eagle Provisions many years ago before they closed; then again everything they sold at extreme markup seemed like it sat on their shelves awaiting some Arabian prince to arrive for whom money was no object.

First time I bought a Grimm bottle was because they were ON SALE at Whole Foods Bowery. Picked up 2 bottles of Double Negative that had been sitting around for a while. Wish I bought more.

Those days were gone last year. That scenario was only really for the first two batches. I was just saying this exact thing to a guy at WF yesterday. It was definitely nice while it lasted.

I still think its nice when people happen upon bottles sitting on shelves. I don't get why people go SO nuts for canned IPAs. Countless times I've been on line with people turning down Grimm bottles hoping it will buy them more cans. Try new things people!

I'm certainly guilty of this, (not asking for extra cans though) I'll be the first to admit. My first Grimm beer was Bees with a Buzz and when I had it, it had been on the shelf for awhile. It was a good beer but everything I've drank of theirs has surpassed that at this point.

My excuse, and I'm sure I'll get buried here, is I don't like sours or heavily fruited beers. I've tried everything from Westbrook Gose to the Hill Farmstead sours to the 7th Sun stuff to World's Worst Twin and I disliked every single one. I'm a hit at bottle shares, I'll tell you. More sours and goses for the rest of you. I've gotten my balls broken at a share where I didn't know a few of the people there because they started off with the sour stuff. I can take the ball breaking. I respect them, they're obviously well respected, but I've tried "the best" and didn't like any of them.

I'll be completely honest, and I know this ain't the right thread, I didn't like Edward or Dorothy either, on top of the few saisons/sours I tried.

My brother-in-law, bless his soul, split a whole bottle of Edward with me and he couldn't stop raving about it. I honestly, by the end of my second sip, wanted to hand him back the rest of the glass. I didn't want to "insult" him though, so I was like, 'yeah, this is good.' :/
Again, definitely respect what I'm drinking, but I like what I like.

Im with you, Ive never been big on sours, but Grimm has certainly warmed me up to them. Their fruited offerings are great. Rainbow dome is one of my favorite beers.
