My wife had a glass and really liked it. I'm not into sours, but I tried it, didn't care for it(as expected) but it seemed to have a lot of flavors/depth to it.

case limit was a special gesture during the bottle sale weekend.

It's clear to me now. I forgot my wife is always with me when we go to the taproom. We'll have to settle for 6. Dang kids!

Why is there literally no opinions of Basement Berries, or even an entry on here? Did no one get to try it on draft? I swore I saw it on the list.

Basement berries is good. Trash panda is too intense for me. I'm still not into the melt the enamel off of your teeth sours. Everyone I talked to seemed to like basement berries if that's any consolation. I'm partial to stouts, so bb oro and turtle fudge were my favorite of the weekend. Peach Guava was my favorite new sour I tried.

Basement Berries was very good, nice fruit taste with the sourness, but I liked Trash Panda even more. I thought there was more going on with Trash Panda. I know this is probably not too terribly helpful, but I am very bad in trying to describe beer taste, which probably would not be aided by the fact that I was trying a lot of beers last weekend at Jackie O's.

No worries. I was just curious, because usually someone adds the page during the event, and this time, nada. That one sounded the best to me, just mulling the idea of trading for one.

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but Is BB Black Maple better when you drink it fresh?

Generally speaking, maple beers lose the maple flavor over time. Having said that, my buddies and I cracked a 2014 & 2015 side by side when the 2015 bottles came out and we all got more maple flavor and aroma out of the 2014 bottle.

Thanks for your comments. I suspected as much, I suppose is YYVM.

I just drank a Black Maple the other day (my first JO's ever) and the nose had a beautiful maple aroma. Though in the body, the maple was lacking, while the bourbon flavor I loved.

I had MBPC a few days ago, and the maple was definitely stronger/better compared to the maple in BB Black Maple. Of course the MBPC didn't have the BB character.

Looking forward to trying a BB Brick Kiln soon!

    thanks

MBCP? I sometimes get an overwhelming sense of artificial ingredients from Funky Buddha stuff. Even Morning Delight was like a jar of Aunt Jemima so I'm sure it's tough for the best of them to impart a good amount of Maple without resorting to corn syrup or candy. The beer I've gotten the tastiest maple-like from is No Rules and I'm not sure it was even brewed with it or aged in it.

Anyway BB Brick Kiln is one of my favorites of theirs--very complex barleywine with a lot going on.

No maple in No Rules. It's a fantastic beer though. One of the few beers I knew little about and was blown away. The coconut and sugar are probably the flavors you were referring to.

“No Rules” is a 15% Imperial Vietnamese Porter brewed with coconut, cinnamon and turbinado sugar then laid down and aged in bourbon barrels.

Maple bacon coffee Porter, yeah from funky. Actually it met my expectations, didn't taste any artificial maple flavor.

Just had a no rules a two months ago for the first time. It was pretty darn sweet, no maple though. As much as a liked it, i definitely couldn't solo no rules. Split the bottle among three of us was perfect.

Likewise, I didn't know what it was about it until I opened it up. It was a nice surprise.
You can't notice the 15% , that's for sure. Super smooth sweetness.

Scroll up a bit. Brad said on Wednesday that there are around 200 cases left and it should last for weeks. I think you're good. That was BA Oro, though. I'm not sure how much BA Oreo is left
