I'm sure you'll be crying all the way to Hill Farmstead.

I hope they don't mean "big" as in good pertaining to Sobrehumano! That beer was very disappointing especially at the $22 price tag.

    I thought it was great, although I didn't pay $22 for a bottle. I paid... $18 I think?

I liked that one a lot. The 18 dollar price tag was a bit much though. I found it elsewhere for around 14-15 and was happy about it.

It was good and just to mild for me as a sour. Expected a lot more sour and funk from it. But, I haven't found to many of JP beers to be overly sour (i.e. like a Cascade).

More food for thought.... when was the last time a beer was released completely under the radar, without label approval being noticed by someone before hand? I can't remember the last, everything hits beerpulse or related sites before hand. I would expect any release to have a previously approved label, I'd be very surprised if they were able to keep something new under wraps this long.

Maybe they got a bunch of 750mL growlers and are releasing something on tap?

That's because it was a previously approved label that was already released earlier in the year. Think La Roja GR...

La Roja was released last year, though the same label could be used. With all the talk about other beers being released, some being more speculative than anything I thought i would throw this out there.

You are correct, for some reason I thought the release was in Jan/Feb. Your speculation is right on, those believing the DeViento GR troll should ask the same questions you raise.

Sobrehumano was fantastic, IMHO. Worth every penny. But I'm a Jolly Pumpkin cornbread-eatin slappy. :stuck_out_tongue:

    22nd is on the calendar.

While I love La Roja GR, I'm not sure I'll be making it to the release this time around. When I compared GR and regular La Roja side by side, I personally didn't think GR was worth getting over regular La Roja.

I am only posting this not to stir up the pot but to convey honest disagreement, GR la roja is to me leaps and bounds better then regular. More complex, tart, more oak flavor, vs regular that to me is bland side by side.

To be fair regular La Roja is pretty fantastic. I just wish they would bottle La Roja Kriek, om nom nom.

It's La Roja GR. $13/bottle. TC location also will be releasing it.
