minus that lactose, and that is going to be AMAZING.

I would just guess that the addition of lactose would be for a heavier mouthfeel than anything with the way it would taste. I was fortunate enough to recently try Apocalypse Cow from 3 Floyds and the addition of the lactose to a double IPA threw me for a bit of a loop at first, but it really was a top notch DIPA and the feel was like silk.

I dont have too much experience with lactose in sours, but having had a bottle of omnipollo bianca last week, and given Grimms track record, I think this will turn out quite nice.

we didn't use any smoked malt; the roasty, smoky, bitter chocolate, coffee type character is solely a result of layered traditional dark english malts. we feel the trend in stouts lately is toward increasingly sweet, heavy, mild, diabetes-inducing dessert stouts laden with flavorings; double negative goes the opposite direction. Nothing against the mexican cakes of the world, it's just that our intention is completely different with this beer.

Cherry Raspberry Pop! is inspired by the creamsicle, with milk sugar and vanilla balanced by tart fruit character. If we like how it turns out it might spin off into a series of different fruited Pop! variants.

I always thought that a good way to indicate it is Maple Double Negative would be to put a maple leaf on the monks' robes. Nice and subtle.

A 16oz locally canned IPA pretty much sells itself at this point.

Saw Stoop Juice at Stinky Brooklyn yesterday. I was intrigued, but the Untappd raitings aren't the greatest so I passed on it because I already have too much beer in my fridge. Is it any good?
