NC's Best Drinking IPAs/ DIPAs

The cans were. It was a Wednesday release and sold out in 4 hours.

Have to give props to Citraquench'l, just received 4 pack from brothers friend in NC. An excellent beer, have only tried NC IPAs around Asheville area and NODA, but I'm very impressed with Heist, would put their IPAs above others I've had from NC so far. Have had their All is Ripe, Reformed, and now CitraQ being my favorite of those 3.

 

Anyone have any recommendations for Charlotte this weekend? Planning to hit Wooden Robot after the soccer game Saturday and hopefully both of NoDa and Heist tomorrow night. Unfortunately won't be able to hit NoDa for the Goodbye to Davidson thing. Anything especially good on tap anywhere? Thanks in advance.

 

If you like NE style IPAs and good beer in general, dont slip on heist

 

If you can only hit one in the North Davidson area, I'd do Heist over NoDa. Just my opinion. The new NoDa on Tryon has a great outdoor area, though I personally prefer Birdsong over NoDa.

 

Thanks to @greensparkplug for hooking up a couple of Citraquench'l cans. It has to be my favorite NC ipa. Hopefully we will continue to see the cans released.

Thought I would toss this out there for what it is worth. Pernicious was number 15 on their subjective list of best IPA's out of 247.

 

I heard Burial was dropping a new Ceremonial next week. Not sure what hop variety, but perfect timing for Lockn!

 

How is the Heist Blurred compared to All is Ripe or CitraQuench'l?

 

I prefer the Citraquench'l over all of them, but they are all as good or better than any other IPA in the state. Looks like "Jack the S.I.P.A is on tap today as well. Today is going to be the best business lunch ever!!

At Wicked Weed right now. They have a rehopped cask of Freak of Nature at the bar. This maybe THE IPA, ok Dbl, or re hopped and casked triple? IPA that turns me to the Dark Side. It is pretty damn amazing.

 

Nice, furthest it's ever made it I believe.

 

Just saw beermenus and it is a bomber for $14.00. Pretty high when I paid $14 for a 4/16oz pack of Blurred is the Word yesterday. Blurred is the Word is pretty awesome!!! They put Hop on Top in 4/16oz cans, they should do the same for Hubris!
