A second batch of cans is being sold at the brewery but I'm not sure if any more made it out to the wild. The first batch is long gone unless a random store squirreled some away.

Maybe because any pie flavor is lacking

It's been long gone in Charlotte. I picked up four bottles and made an amazing glaze out of them for some meatloaf. Fantastic stuff to eat. No idea what it tastes like.

You spent $40 on special release stouts to make a glaze for some meatloaf?! You're hardcore dude.

I still have 1 bottle left and it's one of my favorite stouts ever.

The amount of neckbeard hate you just created is epic. I love it.

Does anyone remember approximately what date they released the BA Cake tickets online last year? Hate to be that guy, legit don't remember, and wondering when I need to start stalking their social media.

I think it was around the middle of last September. The bottle release was in early October. I'll have to look back at WB's FB thread to find the exact date.
EDIT: Sept. 30, 2015 ticket release
    Oct. 3, 2015 bottle release

Really hoping for a rum variant this year.

So how does the ticket release work? Do a certain amount of people get to buy them first come first serve?
Somehow I feel like Westbrook would have a more "elitist" approach...

I'm not sure it's fair to make that assumption, tickets were sold first come first serve last year. There's no telling how they will handle the release this year but I'm sure it will be smooth.

Last year they sold a set amount of tickets online for $180 each, which got you four bottles of the bourbon variant and two bottles of the cognac variant. It was first come, first served, but the tickets lasted for about an afternoon. You could pick up bottles at any point during operating hours on a specific day, which was extended due to all the rain and flooding.

I don't see any reason why Westbrook would do anything differently after last year. I know a lot of people missed out on tickets because of the 'silent' release on BPT, but it really isn't much different than having a silent release of bottles at the brewery on any given afternoon. My wife and I secured tickets and were able to walk right up to the table without any wait to get our bottles on the day of the event. They started handing out bottles about an hour before the official opening of the brewery (another smart move). The horrendous rains last year kept a lot of people away, but I thought that it added to the fun and we got to try almost every MC varaint that they had (both indoors and under the tents). Even if you don't get tickets for the bottles, it is certainly worth coming out for the brews on tap!

Big time on tap release today, didn't even know they BA'd any of this batch: Rum BA Siberian; wonder if its on tap only or a silent bottle release? Anyone know?

It was amazing. I've done it with verticals of BA Sexual Chocolate, Mexi Cake, and more recently - two bottles of King Henry.

If you reduce the Pappy Cake down enough, it makes the most fabulous scented candle. In my experience its best to use 2 bottles and a hemp wick.

Tampa Bay Brewing Company does a Barleywine meatloaf, or at least they used to, and it was indeed amazing.

This. I prefer not to even consume my alcohol in beverage or food form these days. I recently enjoyed a whiskey served as a hand lotion, and did a shot of vodka in the form of a flash of light.

if anyone is still hunting key lime pie gose (and I definitely taste crust on the finish, but anyway) we picked up the last that they had for us today and it will be shipping around the South Carolina tomorrow and into next week.
