Agree with all the Plead the 5th Vanilla/Cocao Love. Also not much of a pepper beer fan, but the Townhall Ghost pepper beer (forgot the name) was really well done.

It sounds like Lucid might want to consider adding a brew master to their payroll.

The Schells beer was their Deer Brand lager dry hopped with Nelson Sauvin hops served via gravity from one of those cool German casks. A Fass is what it's called if I'm not mistaken. The Brett IPAs were from Rock bottom. Didn't sample any Borealis beers but I have had several bottles this summer and really enjoyed them.

Town Hall Citra Strong Ale was outstanding.
Town Hall pumpkin ale - very tasty
    Bell's Black Note, hype worthy
Indeed's Day Tripper was good, but not a show stopper.
    pumking on tap - delicious.
Black Butte XXIV...missed The Abyss by 60 seconds but this was the replacement tap at 4:30 in the afternoon.
Cocoa Bender - chocolate and more chocolate, but was tasty.
Big Wood - forest fire. Morning wood, as good as last year, which is very good. And also good they'll be canning or bottling soon since Breakfast stout is a shitty disappointment this year from a where's the coffee perspective. IMO.

Did anyone try the Odell Haven & Hell Peach?

thanks for reminding. The Abyss was outstanding. I will praise Boulevard. Didn't have any of their beers (they brought their regular line up which I have had many times before), but I did have a great conversation with one of the brewers. Very nice and hospitable, even though he almost got bludgeoned with my tasting glass when he told me they werent doing BBQ this year.

That made me laugh out loud so hard! I think this was the same couple that thought the railroad track was the bathroom, yes both of them, when the portas were still a few yards away!

I did. Poured it out. Not a lot of peach. Flavorless and boring. I did have it late in the drinking day though.

Yeah, it was the first beer I had. Tasted like a boring adjunct lager with some peach flavoring. Was pretty disappointed as I thought it was going to be a sweet and tart.

I thought it was delicious (as did the 2 people I was with), it REALLY tasted, um, peachy:slight_smile: Tasty as heck!

Pour Decisions Acerbity, very refreshing on a hot day. Plus, we need a good Berliner Weiss in this market.

Yeah, I recall that it wasn't offensive, though not really as peachy as I anticipated either. Definitely dumped most of it, but only because I was pacing myself.

I thought the ABR was great this year. Tons of offerings. Between Bells and Surly keeping 1/3 of the attendees in line and out of my hair at any given time, getting plenty of other good beer was super easy. I paced myself much better than prior years, dumped a lot, and sampled a lot more lucently for it. We didn't even piss off my wife this year on the ride home. There seemed to be a lot more drafts..good, and I couldn't pass up several pours of some of those delicious and hard to get stouts though..

Loved having a little preview of Wet (all Simcoe this year)...can't wait to have a pint of it in front of me.

Was my bro one of these types? And what is this Wet All the Way?

Did anyone try Big Sky's Merliner Weisse? I don't really like sour beers but that one was refreshing! Borealis's Awkward Date was surprisingly delicious as well.

Yes, but does the 'all the way' mean something?

Yeah, that's how I felt about it too. Very underwhelming.
