Out running about today but nowhere really beer related
    Tonight is Black Sheep Golden
    Trooper 666
& a couple of Dafty Cran Triple C
Have frigerated em for a change
Rather than my usual stockpot of cold water in a cupboard

    Shit on it
Triple C was so tasty brewed by crafty
Now it's as dull ad the beer by the same name by standard Thwaite
Is it an old beer issue or Masons take over
    Royally fucking it up

Amstel in the pub after work, fizzy water which was needed on a hot day.
Bolt maker and Harbour IPA at home. Both pretty average.

I remember having Amstel in Greece in the 80's and it was fab, but the brew now is awful.

    Krakow trip notes :

Kingpin Headbanger Imperial IPA BA Jurancon
    Pinta/O Haras Lublin to Dublin
    Setka Liberty Pils
Doctor Brew Citra IPA, Double IPA
    Piwe Podziemie Tropicalia
    Lancut Czarna Polewka
    Podgorz Luzy Rajtusy
Pracownia Piwa Hadra, Crack, Koguto, Huncwot, Krakowskie Sniadane, Cudowne Rozmnozenie
Trzech Kumpli Starter, Native American, Piece of Cake, Novicius
    Hopium Violetta Vanillas
    Nomada Passiflora
Pinta Oto Mata Rice IPA, Grand Prix Barleywine
    Browar Jana Pafulon
    Kingpin/Pracownia Piwa Till Dawn

Firstly the Poles are really producing some crazy brews. One barman said that there are at least 200 microbreweries in the country, all trying to out compete with each other, some well, some not. White chocolate ale, ales with 100 melons thrown in. Of note was Pracownia Piwa who's anniversary Koguto was a vanilla, strawberry witbier which was incredibly well balanced. Unfortunately the man hours to wash the fresh strawberries probably negates it being brewed again. Their Kradowskie Sniadane was a pale ale with a no kidding wonderful light coffee aroma/taste and Cudowne Rozmnozenie a lovely lightly smoked fresh Grodziskie. Good taphouse as well, allowing small pours, other bars had a very small price differential between small and large which didn't help tasting sessions . 500ml was the norm for the locals. Beyond the gimmicks other mentions Pinta/O Haras collab, Podgorz lovely amber ale, Pracownia Piwa Crack american stout and Doctor Brew DIPA. UK wasn't really around altho one bar had Buxton and Weird Beard on tap, which were more expensive than the locals as mentioned by another bar man, so rarely seen. Overall good trip with great beer, nice, friendly locals and lovely, small city with great buildings.

Enjoyed a couple new ones from Tiny Rebel at a tap takeover. Juicy was the first and In and Around the Mouth was second. Quite liked Juicy...which was released this week for the GBBF.

It's been my weekend today and yesterday so I treated myself to a brace of DIPA v6, a Mango Lassi Heathen, an Alpine Duet IPA, BBNo/De La Senne Session 4, and a couple of Czech lagers which were consumed by Richmond Riverside in the sun - Platan 11% and Hubertus Red. Preferred the Platan but the Hubertus was alright too, just a bit sweeter. The Alpine Duet I had last night and it was a very solid west coast style IPA.

I have decided to give my liver a rest from beer, so I am on Islay smashing back whisky instead  Might try the Islay Ales beers though if I see them, not that I'm expecting much

So much for avoiding beer, I felt a bit whiskied out so had halves of Heverlee (dull euro lager as always) , St. Mungo (decent enough) and Islay Angus Og Ale , which was too warm so flat although it tasted decent. Beer selection is somewhat lacking here, so far seen standard Tennents/Best, Guinness etc on draught mainly

Cloudwater DIPA v6. It's okay buy I don't get the rave reviews. Not as good as v3. Or too good maybe? Too sessionable tasting, too quaffable, too much like fruit juice with too little bitterness? So interesting it becomes uninteresting.

The beer situation on Islay needs a seeing to, everywhere seems to accommodate the Islay Ales beers but they are just stuck on warm shelves - had the Kilchoman Pale from them today, interesting enough in that its a pale brewed with peated malt and not too offensive with it, but it's on a shelf at head height so 20 degrees. urgh

I agree that none of them seem to be better than v3 (still have one, had one three weeks ago and was still just as great as when it came out). I appreciate the opportunity to see how changing one small part of the brew can have such drastic effect. However, the hype makes them hard to find and thus is making me less interested... even though I sent the wife to get me a 6 and 7.

Well I haven't brew yet. I like different brands and tastes but can't explain them properly. Hope it would be a great fun.

Not a lot of beer, but had my brother up from Eastbourne, so headed to Glasgow with him and Mrs. K. had,

Fallen - Salted Caramel Chew Chew,
    Redchurch - Hoxton Stout,
    Brewdog - Jet Black Heart,
    Staropramen,
    Harvieston - Ola Duhb.

Also had Cabernet Sauvignon, Mojito's and Espresso Martini's

Was obviously so drunk that I didn't actually post this...wow!!!

Anyway, had a few pints of Adnams Broadside with my Bro before he heads back to Eastbourne. Really is a lovely, smooth beer.

So time for a bit of a check in as I haven't posted in a while.
Here are some of the highlights:
Stone - Russian Imperial Stout 2016 (awesome beer, big chunky and viscous)
Boon - Bone Dry Mikkeller Selection (what isn't to like, as it says bone dry and tart as hell)
Bell's Brewery - Third Coast Old Ale (big sweet boozy hug)
Amager Bryghus - Hr. Frederiksen (another huge imperial stout, simply devine)
To Øl - Brettxit (tropical fruit sour, one for a sunny day)
Põhjala - Ginie (In A Bottle) (Gin inspired, really refreshing and again one for a sunny day)
Cloudwater Brew Co. - Elderflower Spring Ale (didn't want this to end)

Ah lovely stuff all together, off to the Czech Republic on Friday to sample some unfiltered Pils \m/

Peterborough beer fest last night. Harvey's 7.5% Prince of Denmark won the show for me. An ’Imperial Stout Nouveau’. It’s the fruitiest imply stout I’ve ever had. Not hop fruity but blackcurrant-like.
