Zwanze Day 2016 at Schera's

I'd like to interject and say let's keep things positive in this thread as well, and not dwell on things that happened last year.

This will be a fun event and the Zwanze beer this year sounds phenomenal!

 

At the risk of causing others to dwell on anything negative...I had a great time last year! Hope to see some familiar faces this year! I'm looking at you Eli and the rest of your CR crew!

Last year was great, I look forward to it again this year. That Zwanze beer sounds amazing!

 

I'm sure the people in charge have taken things that happened last year into consideration this year. Hoping for a great event and share

 

Honestly can't recall the negative issues from last year, I suppose they weren't that...bad?! But yes, can't wait for this (quite a football day that day as well, NW here in Iowa City, Michigan-Wisconsin). Framboise sounds amazing with the touches of blueberry/bilberry and vanilla.

What bottles were sold last year, and what kind of quantity?

 

I did not attend last year so all that I know is from what others have told me. Last year I guess they had 375s and 750s ranging from classic Gueuze to Fou and Framboos. Pretty much everybody was able to get something to take home. Some people got rarer bottles than other though.

 

Last year you got to draw for one 750 ml Cantillon per person, among which there were Classic Gueuze (2012), Foufone, Vigneronne, Kriek, Mamouche, Iris, St. Lamvinus, St. Gilloise and Lou Pepe Gueuze, plus they had special bottles from Drie Fonteinen including Gueuze, Kriek and Framboos, special Tilquin including Gueuze, Quetsche and Gueuze Squared…more Crooked Stave than I can rattle off. Some Jester King bottles and Panil, Siren, Amager/JK collab, Dieu du Ciel, De Molen…lots of good stuff. The guest taps and food were great as well.

Nope. I am wondering if it will be today or tomorrow for phone calls. Social media and the website days the 15th, but I have an email claiming the 16th.

 

I can confirm the 16th from email. I couldn't find the required signup info or really whether tickets were on sale yet despite fully reading the website before they even tweeted about it being up. I finally decided to email just in case and got what looked like an automatic response for those of us that left out information (but could have been sent to everyone faik). It said via phone on the 16th.

edit: Crap, searched my email and just saw that auto-response email (somehow didn't see it that day). My original email to the first address included all the info though so hopefully I'm set

 

Schera's posted on Facebook that they have started contacting people today but it will take several days due to the large number of interested people.

 

Anybody know what number they're calling from? I missed a call today from a 515 number I don't recognize...

 

Should be a 563 number.
