on weekends Seastreak runs a bus/shuttle from Highlands to AH rather than having the boat stop at both (there is an actual sandy hook stop on weekends) the henry hudson trail is a closed bike trail along the water you can get from Kranky to us like 15 minutes. or take the shuttle, or walk the same trail , or uber, or cab or what ever. really depends on mood energy sun and so on.

They have SS 2012 on tap for a pour. It's their beer from their first anniversary from the "Need a Bigger Boat" collection, and it's pretty damn good.

 

New batch? Or 2012 vintage?

@augiecarton will there be a 2016 version of Dalton's Kriek?

 

2012 was cellared since 2012 we have a bunch of stuff i've been holding for the 5 years anniversary that will pop up erry now and again.
dalton's kreik was for swayze day 2015: there won't be another dalton's but there will be another swayze day

 

@augiecarton Any thoughts on aging Monkey?

 

i age everything, everything. my consideration of a beer from "fun" to "amazing" to "work of art" depends seriously on what it does when it ages. that being said i have a static cellar that holds 55 degrees, 60% humidity, 365 days a year and has low UV lights, so i am not talking about cold or closet storage.
i still have weasel from the first canning run in 2014 and i love them when my wife let's me drink them. they are officially hers.

 

Great lineup of Carton last night at Blind Tiger from their event earlier in the week. likely a lot still left but an easy way to try a few great ones of theirs in Manhattan ....

 

I've got two Gilded Lily cans that I picked up from the brewery last December. Very curious to see how these age over time.

 

I have one left. Me too.

 

I happily await opening my last can until someone else is generous enough to crack one and give an update on how it's aging.

 

I will probably not crack mine open until it's a year old.

 

I've had a couple since December so I'll be he holding on for at least a year as well. Wonder if the truffle will increase or fade. Will it be sweeter? So many questions. Time will tell.

 

I was there in May. I found Jai Alai and othe CC pretty plentiful.

 

I'm not sure that I was supposed to or should have... but I had a can of Haircut yesterday and I enjoyed it much better than the other two cans I had previously. I have one more left, I think I'll enjoy it again this week.
