For those looking to try some Black Note, Tap on Main in Somerset will be having a Bell's tap takeover tonight. They will have Black Note on tap. It's worth the drive. Then you can also check kentucky's newest brewery Jarfly Brewing Company.

That sounds awesome but a 2+ drive back to Louisville seems like a bad idea after some Black Note

I called, almost willing to drive 90 minutes one way for Black Note on tap. But it's bottles only, and there weren't many. Despite the woman on the phone saying she'd hold one for me, my wife wasn't keen on the trip and not getting back until close to 11 by the time we ate and drank, so I had to pass.

You are correct Fletch. I was shocked when I got there to find out that that one was bottles. Everything else was tap only though. They did also have Three floyds Permanent Funeral. If you decide to come later let me know. I would love to give you the local rundown.

On another note the food right next door at Main St. Deli is perfect pub food.

The Bell's rep was in hand last night and she confirmed that indeed there were only 20 cases for the entire state.

My guess is that it probably tasted like Black Note

It was incredible as always. This was the third Bintage that I have tried over the years and it hasn't lost a step. I wish I could get my hands on some bottles so that I could aid to them because they would cellar wonderfully.

If anybody is interested, Bypass Liquors in Nicholasville has 3 bottles of 2015 KBS. $10.99 plus tax (including a 5% alcohol tax, which kinda sucks).

Guess that's why they're still there.

Anyone have any good beers that came out recently? Looking for some new tries.

I bought the Braxton Oktober Fuel last night. It's definitely better than the West 6th Oktoberfest. Glad to see another KY brewery in cans.

Saw it in Versailles at a Kroger a few weeks back. Never did see it in Lexington.

I was going to say that I haven't seen anything in Lexington. Very disappointing since I think it is a fantastic stout! Love the artwork this year too

It was at a few Liquor Barns a couple weeks back. Try Beaumont, they had a ton then.

Per Stone's beerfinder, it went to a lot of Kroger's in the area too...might be worth checking too
