Wasn't the $100 for 2 bottles, the snifter and the pour and I guess a little for the packaging?

 

We need to get a tool to pin things like this. I believe, it broke down to:
$40/ bottle
$15/ glass
$5/ pour

The box it came in was free!

I know I bought another glass, I think it was $15. That would make the pour 5, so either way, I'd say $40 for each bottle.

Mug club got at $5 discount I guess.

 

That must have been the case.

Just found my email and we actually paid $30 I guess, so the math works out even fuzzier. That damn carrying case must have been $20.

 

How far in advance did the mug club members get an email about purchasing bottles? I'm new to the mug club this year.

 

We got an email on 7/29/15, a month prior to the release.

 

There were openings for it? Every time I've checked it's always been "accepting no new members". Was thinking I might have marry into it...

 

You have to submit a 4 page essay in person at the brewery stating why you deserve to be in the mug club.

 

Sounds harder to get into than college.

 

I got in on the last round of people accepted into mug club. I'ts been several months.

How are people in the mug club or attempting to get in the mug club if they are out of state and the rules are no proxies?

 

You ever see those horse and buggies riding around near Decorah? Those are the out of staters coming in for the release.

There are 300 people in the Mug Club IIRC. They closed the waiting list awhile back because it was going to take a few years to let those on the wait list in. I understand if someone doesn't renew, they will add someone off the wait list.

 

Yeah- I guess I just translated "proxies" more aggressively- assumed you had to be local to qualify, but I guess you could just drive there

 

That sounds accurate to me. I believe Clark or someone has said that once the new brewery is up and running they will have the capacity to expand the mug club program.

 

That is exactly correct the couple times I've spoke with him there. Hurry up and wait for people right now. Once the destination is built, it's going to be a whole new ball game for releases.
