Mikerphone Releases and Updates (2018)

While I didn't hate it, my bottle of Mad Flavor had a vegetal taste to it, similar to the herbal note you mentioned or the grassy note someone mentioned earlier. I didn't try the first batch so wasn't sure if this was intended or not. I'll also note that I preferred Special Sauce #4 to the most recent batch. I'd still say that batch #5 was good, but not what I was expecting from previous experience.

ETA: My Mad Flavor seemed to have very little to no carbonation.

I haven't chased Mikerphone yet but considering doing so today, so long as it's not still raining, because I want to try SS and Hey Ya! sounds interesting (I like Galaxy and want to try more Motueka). My question is this: is Warehouse Liquors exclusive about special releases like this, as Printers Row kinda is? Don't want to waste my time if I'm lied to about bottles not being there (despite being in plain view) or told I have to buy a case of Pumking per Mikerphone bottle or some shit.

 

It seems like he's usually done with bottling at this point in the day, and even when he's done that early he ends up needing 2 days to do deliveries. With the later bottling, I'm wondering if even more of it will be hitting stores tomorrow as opposed to today.

I'm in a bit of a buying freeze now, but based on how much I liked SS#5, I think I've gotta try batch 6.

Yeah, I think 1 per is pretty standard, given how limited these batches are. I'm fine with that, and Warehouse seems like an alright place.

I've stopped shopping at Printer's Row for exactly the reason you outlined; I'd rather put in the effort to grab a beer elsewhere than allow them to essentially price gouge (since it's costing me double to get the beer I want).

 

Didn't realize they did this. Glad you mentioned it. That's super shady.

 

to be clear, i was facetiously exaggerating but as you can see from the posts of @-TK421- and @SeanBond Printer's Row does engage in this kind of practice to some extent

 

They don't literally make you buy cases, as far as I'm aware, but yeah, my two experiences:

1) Made you purchase a second Spiteful bomber to go with BAMCC

2) Made you purchase a second FFF bomber to go with Permanent Funeral (this one is especially egregious, because who treats PF like a whale?)

No idea what they do with Mikerphone, because I'm not willing to come in and check any more.

Yeah Warehouse is simple 1PP and usually still in the box on the floor. I refuse to go to Printer's row any more as they will flat out lie to you about having or not having a beer. Posting on twitter that beers are in that were sold out the day before. Posting a beer is in and telling my buddy they don't have any. Along with the pairing of bottles, I had enough of their shady practices. I digress, yay SS6! Hope to grab a bottle.
