Has anyone been to BW lately and tried the Equinox DIPA? What a great beer that was. That Framingham spot pumps out some great beers. Does anyone know does each location brew specific recipes? I know people are pretty down on them but I've been impressed with Framingham and don't hesitate to stop in there for a beer.
Well done, now have it in cans in the cooler next time I come! Hahahahaha!

I just had a friend in from out of town and we did a bit of beer tourism, so he had a chance to taste many of the "big boys" in the area (he was suitably impressed). One day we found ourselves near the Fleet Center beer works around lunch time so we went in and I told him "this place has perfectly solid beer, but nothing that's likely to blow your mind or anything".

Then we ordered the Equinox and I had to update that opinion. Definitely as good as everyone has said. They were unfortunately out of Contender so I didn't get to try that. Even though I don't go very often anymore, I've always had warm feelings for the BW since they were the first brewpub I ever went to back in the 90s, so it's nice to see them offering up some stuff to make me legitimately excited to go there again.

Looks like Waltham is moving along a bit. Fresh paint on the exterior. They've taken down all the paper covering the windows. Although I only drive through there so I haven't seen inside.

Based on the article, it's looking like ~ a month a way from open. With the additional improvements the city has been making to Moody and the developments in the surrounding neighborhoods, things are looking up in Waltham!

Yo naysayers, I'm the exec chef and one of the masterminds behind this new endeavor (Brewer's Tap & Table) and I ASSURE you you will be eating your words... (expensive, pretentious, VT tourist trap, faux farm to table) But don't just take my word for it, come give us a whirl when we get this baby open. We will be doing shit RIGHT, with a killer local list of 48 beers, food that is cool, goes with the beer well, and will not overly gouge your wallet. We're also doing a significant bourbon list, too. Sorry to sound prickly, but we're pouring some serious soul into this place, and making every effort to make it the kind of place WE would want to hang in, so I'm trying to lay your doubts to rest. Come over to our Facebook page or twitter feed and get to know me... I do all the social media, and kind of lay it all out there about what we're up to. I've been putting legit beer and bites in front of people for a while now, and intend to keep it up.

Nope... you need to give us a chance. We'll be legit, I promise you.

We will pleasantly surprise you, I think. I don't do the small, expensive, pretentious thing... though we are aiming for kind of a shared plate experience.

Yeah, I mentioned being a little prickly... feisty chef and all that... main message is, definitely come check us out when we get open in mid/late September... we'll be pouring 48 cool as we can find them beers, a bunch of good bourbon, and I'll be cooking the best food I can manage... No VT pretentiousness, I swear...

Hahahaha! Alright, alright... my bad. What I MEANT to say was, "Yo Guys, we're going to work really hard to make it a hang other than what you might have expected... lots of serious beer, a VERY humble and unpretentious approach to our food, and prices that won't kick you in the butt. I hope you'll give us a try to see if I am a man of my word."

After all first impressions are key, and I'm actually a fairly laid back dude. (Prickly first responses/introductions aside.)

Don't kowtow to the marys here. Your intro was better than most of the rump swabbing that goes down normally. Looking forward to giving the place a go.

Nice... thanks, my Friend. You know, I'm in the hospitality biz, so I do have to keep my cool, but I'm a builder becomes chef, so I'm used to a pretty straight from the hip style of communication. My wife is the GM, and she's reeling me in all the time. Definitely looking forward to having you check the place out. Thanks for the comment.
