It'll be tough getting from Tree House to either Trillium location before close even if you're in the front of the line at Tree House for open. It's a solid 1.5 hours with little traffic - you're bound to hit some kind of traffic going east-bound whether it's due to residual Cape traffic, a Sox game, or just the normal Boston shit.

Edit: Definitely doable though - just keep an eye on your GPS and be prepared to alter your plans depending on the traffic.

Canton on Friday afternoon not an ideal location for dodging traffic.

Really appreciate the solid feedback from you everyone! Really looking forward to the trip.

GF picked out this place (http://www.tigermamaboston.com/) because "it looks good plus it has 'that Nightshift' stuff you want"

I'm sure others will disagree but I like Tiger mama. Cool space, in my opinion great food.

back to beer... Trillium is available at the publick house in brookline fairly often, about 3 miles from tiger mama, can do a night cap afterwards fairly easily.

Good call! Current plan was to hit Nightshift after since it's supposed to be a good place to hang out (cornhole, large space, etc)

    Accurate?

If thats the kind of food your GF wants I think you will find better food at Penang in chinatown. Boylston can be a tourist trap and some of the reviews are not stellar
http://www.penangmalaysian.com/. Good asian food and beeer rarely mix unfortunately.

It's a canned beer, which you can buy at dozens of retailers around the city. Sit at the tiki bar (not the front bar) at Tiger Mama because they really know what they're doing back there with the cocktail list.

Yeah, there is definitely more of a focus on cocktails there, and I second sitting at the tiki bar in back. Get the crispy chili potatoes to share. Tiger Mama is across from Yard House, so you could have a beer before/after. There is also a Craft Beer Cellar store right there.

Looking for some advice gentlemen (and women) - my brother, cousin and I are heading to Tree House from Philly area 8/31 for whatever TH ends up releasing in cans - hoping to get there at 11 and head out with can allotment by 12:30. we have tix to the 1:30 Sox game which we already know we will be getting in an hour late more than likely. From there we were planning to hit Trillium to get some cans to bring back as well and then a good beer bar as we are staying on the Back Bay. Is that a reasonable plan? My cousin mentioned hitting Trillium first which would probably get us to the Sox game on time but it's my understanding cans are pretty readily available at Trillium throughout the week and we would miss out on Tree House. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Really depends how much you care about missing the first 3-4 innings of the game. Tickets are expensive these days, as a big Sox fan I would feel it's a big waste of money. Personally, I'd forget about Treehouse and load up on Trillium. Plan a "Treehouse focused" trip some other time.

You guys think lines are going to be more than the usual when Headroom drops. It's the only Trillium beer I have not had and could not be more pumped for the release.

Yes, I'd assume if they announce a release then it will probably be their busiest release of the year. Probably similar to the Other Half collab, I waited about 45 minutes for that one.

I actually think regular sleeper is one of their most underrated beers. Either way... win!
