That BA blueberry eisbock is on point.

Definitely the best of the BA eisbocks.

I liked the BA Raspberry the best - they were all good.

I was worried when we showed up at 3:15 and the line to get in was barely moving.

I got even more worried once we were finally inside and the eisbock station line was easily 50 people long.

I was probably on the verge of losing it when we finally got to the front of the line for our first beer and it was already gone, Double Barrel French Toast.

Thank god it did a complete 180 from there. We got to try everything else we wanted, met some cool people, had no trouble finding seating, and even got chicken fingers #whitewhale.

I got there at about 2:00. There was really hardly anyone there at that time. Grabbed a beer and waited. About 2:40 or so I thought to myself 'that kinda looks like a line'. Yep. People lined up inside the brewpub and it snaked all around the bar and out the door. It really looked like 3 different lines coming into 1. I thought I was going to get stuck by the brewing equipment. Once they started to scan tickets and pass out lanyards they took care of the people inside the bar area first before opening the front door. I was happy they took care of those of us inside the bar area first.

Got outside and the Eisbock station had the longest line. Got in it. It snaked past the station with Double Barrel French Toast. Lady told us to get a pour now if we wanted to try it. She said there was only 100 ozs of that version ever made. I'd say there were maybe 3 or 4 more pours after mine and it was gone.

Guy a little while later yelled something about a surprise bottle and pulled out a 3-4 foot tall bottle of Funk Punch. The long Eisbock line transitioned to that station. Then the Eisbock line got a lot shorter.

Overall, they did a really nice job. Everything seemed to move well and I got to try everything I wanted to try. All the BA Eisbocks were fantastic.

Next time I'd check people in when they start showing up so at start time they can just go. There was no reason to hold that up until the event start time. I'd keep bottles like Funk Punch for outside cold events. After an hour that bottle warmed up and it was hot Funk Punch. I'd also let people know how to get a grab bag. I'd keep it separate from the bottle release. I also don't recommend trying to sign cold wet bottles. That just doesn't make sense. Or putting those bottles in brown paper bags. I walked out with 3 bottles in 1 bag. Cold wet bottles in brown paper bags=torn bags by the time I got home. I clung those to my chest and refuesed to let go!

Those are pretty minor issues really. They executed a great party and I'd go back again. We had a great time.

Got there at 3 and ended up probably about 50 people back in the outside line, once we got in (about 3:27) I went for the pour of the DB French Toast and was told I missed it, that was the only pour I wanted to try that didn't pan out. Loved the eisbocks and the 4d and enjoyed the AOHD or whatever it was called. I took off just before the rain hit and would have missed the swag bags if I wasn't picking up bottles, we may have missed them even then if I hadn't asked if this is where we get the swag bag too

The DB French Toast annoyed me because they only had 3 liters of it. (how do you only barrel age 3 liters?) I'm not annoyed there was so little. They can't make enough of every beer for everyone. But when you have that little of it, why even bother advertising it?

Pretty much exact same experience. Even the "uh oh we may get stuck by the brew equip"...

Great time. Some folks got their panties in a bunch when the line situation was awkward early on. Accusing people of cutting when you couldn't tell where one line and another separated. After awhile it didn't matter. I was happily surprised the BA eisbocks lasted until after I left. I know I had my fill of them.
Lots of love em or hate em beers. I really liked the hibiscus/ginger barleywine. Some folks didn't. I also really enjoy Tropic Thunder.
And I may be one of the few who really had an issue with 07 KRE. Total vegetable juice. Weird and not good. 04 wasn't quite that bad but very vegetal.
Did the BBBW gauntlet and thought that 09,10, and 12 were complete passes but the rest were very good to great. Bottom line, fresher is better.

The whole sentiment of aging stuff to mellow it out, or its too hot fresh... people have gentle palates I guess. I like a little heat.

I enjoyed the eisbocks but the '14 KRE and the Tenacious Cassis were my 2 standouts. A little hiccup (line) at the beginning lead to a well run, fun event.

There was a raffle ticket drawing??
I saw a blue ticket in my swag bag that I luckily stumbled across since there were no instructions about how to pick them nor anything about a raffle

Had a fantastic time. Started with db French toast which was a big highlight. Bourbon aged Blue and raspberry eisbock also. Cool touch with the fluffer and thumper stations for a mild break in between big beers. Anyone try the gnomenclature yet??

There was mention of the winners picked on Facebook today. Really cool prizes actually. They also said to hang onto your tickets for more prizes drawn in the next few days.

Were the fruited eisbocks also bourbon barrel aged? All their posts about it left off the word bourbon, except the non-fruited.

I received same confirmation from my wife. Yup. Thanks hon. Can't blame her. Counter was a disarray of coasters, coupons, menus, etc.
