Finally back from CO and unpacked, perhaps bringing so much beer with me wasn't the smartest of ideas, but I reap the rewards. My two large suitcases (18lbs each) maxed to 50lbs (managed to cram my clothes in the carry-on) and the wife's luggage that carried NG fruits, I now have duplicates that I'd like someone else to enjoy. So, if anyone here would like my over-flow, let's play a game. I won't give a price because this awesomeness should be enjoyed for what it is, but all I ask for is an awesome package in return. IF the package that I shipped to myself actually makes it (slated for Thursday delivery), first person to guess closest to how much money I spent on a specific "local pastime" wins. I will leave this open until the package arrives, so I know what I can send. Also, @Greeny87 isn't eligible since I know he is going to be (hopefully) enjoying most, if not all, included in my box o' beers.
I am confused @azuelke but those are my favorite boxes! I guess $234 And a big congrats to @Greeny87 and @hardysf
That @beluga92 at it again. 16oz, hoppy booze bomb with a black tab? Just like Colt 45, Heady Topper every time. This will probably always sit in my Top 5. My Jam. Thanks dude
Keep going while your hot?! He said he didn't send TH. This tastes 100% Trillium. Some piney flavors mixed in with some fruit. Pretty boozy. I don't know if I've had this one, they seem to have tons. Hmm. I'd guess a double IPA based on booze, not sweetness?
Quick posts but both beers were enjoyed and discussed with my Craftwife who is a hop head for sure! Damn this Was tasty. I have never been disappointed in a Trillium brew and their cans are rocking. Thanks again @beluga92 !
I'm sure @Yourahoser can give you great advice with infants or a basketball team if trying to start one AND heard he's outta beer too!
To take a break from the sours and IPA's I've been enjoying the last week, I figured since this is my last day of "vacation", why not enjoy my 2nd mystery beer from @Doogflaggat. Once again, wrapped in the famous yellow tape is a dark, waxed bottle which led me to believe a BA stout. On first pour, I got hit with the aroma of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, and some sort of fruit. First taste had all flavors, as it warmed, I had the fruit narrowed to either raisin or cherry. Couldn't think of any Eastern BA stout that could come to mind, go figure. Completely wrong coast, it was a 2015 Deschutes The Abyss. I have one stashed away that I haven't gotten around to yet, and now I can let it age to compare to a future release. Thanks again for a massive hit @Doogflaggat !
I'll keep it going with another blind #VBS, also courtesy of @beluga92. Pours a pale hazy orange, smells juicy as it looks. Tastes citrusy with a light body, gotta be a Trillium APA. I'll say it's one of the small bird beers, def some Galaxy in there but that doesn't help as all the small bird APAs have that. A little earthy bitterness that I think might be Nelson, so I'll go with Little Rooster. Thanks man, this was super refreshing! Can't say I've had a mediocre Trillium beer yet.
Just a fair warning to all those that aren't on slack. We've had multiple alerts of the Locals bombing our porches. @Yourahoser created a Google Doc with all of our info. Some how this must have leaked. Chad swears I'm just being paranoid, but be on high alert and ready! Their first line of attack seems to be some sort of dirigible cocktail set.... I'm sure we can do better! Stay strong NEWBIES!
