$8 for a Boomsauce, $9 for an Otter Creek RIS, or $7 for HF Edward.

    "Special" bottles include a $19 Lolita, and a $90 (!!!?!???!) Curieux.

Seems like a good balance of reasonable prices and absurdity.

I mean no offense whatsoever to anyone who lives there, but I'm a city guy. It would make me sad to live in Brattleboro. Boston area is more expensive, I know what I got myself into.

There is definitely point of sale/website integration software out there like digitalpour.com I'm sure there are others too. Stuff like this is what gets me to keep going back to a bar. I know of at least one of the major boston area beer bars that does something similar (when they add/remove a beer from their POS system, it automatically updates their website). Not saying you need to do this (updating your tap list at least weekly is a great start), but this could certainly help bring in more people.

I totally disagree about once per week being close to adequate. If you are going to be a beer place, the list should be updated every single day at opening. If it kicks that day, fine. I guess I should have gone for an early lunch to get what I was looking for. In NYC, there are tons of places that don't update when they run out of great beers in the hope that people will show up and drink what else they have. The problem is, in certain circumstances, the entire reason that I went there was to try something specific that was noted on BeerMenu as being updated.

Oh, nevertheless, I am enthusiastic about giving this place a try. I used to go to CHT a bunch, but a few bad meals in a row along with some lackluster service left me wanting. Also, the place is a depressing ghost town on the weekends when my family can often go. Still a great after work place. We now mostly just go to Jake and Joes since they have great boneless wings and Be Hoppy by the pitcher. Best of luck in the opening of the new place!

Ah, I was just pointing to the draft list which is mostly $4.95 for 16 oz pours. I pretty much never look at bottle lists - I can open a bottle at home

@AlcahueteJ - keep Brattleboro in mind if you ever decide to become an artsy hippy. It appears to be the NYC of that lifestyle

Hopefully we'll see some Trillium on the tap list!

State Park in Kendall is the worst at this for their apps/small plates. Fake dive bar where $8-10 apps have literally 3 bites of food.

    The Curieux is a magnum

If the bar is printing their draft list they are obviously creating a PDF or something. All you do is throw that in a Drive or Dropbox folder and point the link at it for people to view/download. It's insanely simple to do and requires very little work since you are already sitting at the computer making the list. Put the folder on your desktop and always keep the saved file in there so it updates instantly; drive should keep the same share link as long as you don't change the name

My buddy's go there often, I don't remember if they typically eat there. I think they go for the shot and a beer combo.

If I'm over there the only place I'm eating now is the Smokeshop. It was fucking awesome, like way better than any other BBQ in or around Boston awesome. Not cheap, but I felt I was served enough food. Killer bourbon list too.

Oh, and it's next to CBC...yeah, I have no reason to go to State Park for anything.

I sure will be trying. They are a tough "get" due to their popularity, but they are high on the hit list. Right now we're confirmed with Night Shift, Jack's Abbey, Singlecut, Wormtown, Fiddlehead, Lost Nation, Zero Gravity, Aeronaut, Maine Beer Co, Idle Hands, Clown Shoes and Proclamation... 2-3 taps for each brewer with 1 or 2 "known" brews, and 1 or 2 one-offs/limited releases.

We're starting with a New England/East Coast selection, but will likely add a few out West bad boys, too. I have a soft spot for Gigantic, Almanac, Sierra, Base Camp, etc...

I think there will be a hell of a lot of good choices on a totally regular basis.

"Insanely easy" is a relative term... If it were ONLY sitting down at the computer to update the beer list, then yes, I agree, but there is a whole swarm of things that happen on a day to day basis in a 250 seat place. I'm absolutely not saying we won't be fairly diligent, but I know through personal experience that shit just gets away from you at times, and there are not enough hours in the day. Added to that, our 48 tap list is not just printed on paper, but it's listed on 6 large chalkboards across the back of the bar. Chances are good... no, not even... chances are DEFINITE that we will occasionally drop the ball and have stuff on tap that is different than the stuff on our various lists... I actually make no apologies for that whatsoever. We'll be doing good, solid, popular stuff here both food-wise and beer-wise... It'll be an organic undertaking, and organic is never perfect, but it always blows away pre-packaged, inorganic anything.

Yeah, I understand all of that which is why I just described a free and automated way to update it for web users each time you decide to create a printed beer or food menu. I imagine with all the seasonal food and rotating kegs you'll be printing them regularly. You may then give zero fucks about the website after setting it up. Either way, I look forward to checking out the place next time I'm out in my hometown.

If that is your "regular" tap list, and the prices are competitive, you're going to do juuuust fine. Can't wait to see Fiddlehead down here on a more regular basis!

Me too, Man! I lived in VT for 25 years, so Green Mountain beer is near and dear to my heart. (Sean Lawson is a friend of mine from the same town I lived in... insert shameless name drop.)

Million dollar idea: real time webcam facing the chalkboards. Boom!

If this is a ridiculous idea then I'm totally joking and if it's an awesome idea I'm completely serious.

Taplist lineup sounds fantastic btw. My (worthless) two cents would be to perhaps include some places like Ipswich or Wachusett that would allow some potentially lower cost local options.

Ha! That's actually a really awesome idea... we have some techy guys onboard who would love it. If we pull it off I will give you full credit AND a few pints on me. Thanks, meefmoff.
