Cant say what it is yet, because I am trying to get one more so everyone can have a share, but big thanks to Eric for hooking up something that is a big deal. I would say show needs to get ready but it isn't smokey so.....

My goal is to make it to this one. Not for said über fancy beer, but to meet some BAs in person.

You could at least give a better hint than "not smokey" lol.

One does not merely try "to get one more" Wooden Hell, so sadly I will assume this isn't the mystery beer :slight_frown:

But I'll toss my hat in anyway: King Henry or, in the alternative, Fou' Foune. That said OP, if you're talking about the pearly narwhal that is Isabelle, I will see you there my friend.

Well, in that case, we know it isn't Pliny the Younger, Bourbon Barrel Vanilla Bean Dark Lord, or Kaggen! for obvious reasons.

We also know it isn't Pliny the Elder or KBS, and very likely not Westvleteren 12, also for obvious reasons.

The beer is Heady Topper (would have preferred to guess King Henry, but it sounds like that isn't right).

I hope for the city of Houston, Clutch City, my home city, its something better than a King Henry. We in Austin drink that on Wednesdays during lunch. But seriously I am curious.

No kidding, the two in my fridge right now are earmarked for such things as "Tuesday" and "cloudy."

I heard we may be doing a special Pumpkin beer tasting next month? or is that this month? October makes more sense, even if everything is already being released!

These situations are almost always better when kept unannounced and as a surprise because now 1) expectations are heightened to a point that's difficult to meet, and/or 2) 30 people will show up only to get a ~.75-.85 oz sample of said special beer.

I could be wrong (and hope I am) on both counts -- I tend to over-analyze things anyway. In the end, the generosity is greatly appreciated, and I hope I can make it to the tasting.
