Yessir! I know and understand the routine but sometimes it is just a good thing to compliment someone for their (your) consistent effort each week.

I have not seen this at the store yet but I will now be looking for it. If it is anything like their other brews I have had, it must be good although I was not enamored with their Rule G.

    Very Nice Brew!

Narwhal Imperial Stout - Barrel Aged | Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.

    750ml
    Caged/Corked
    2015 Vintage
    Bottled On: 091715

Almost a year on this bottle.

Poured into a chalice a very nice black color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger tan head, which leaves a nice creamy medium size island, and leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, slight hop note, lots of chocolate/toffee notes, vanilla, nice touch of bourbon/oak. The taste is very nice malty, slightly hoppy, sweet, a very nice touch of bourbon/oak, vanilla. Full Body, ABV hidden very well, a pretty complex brew, a very nice sipper, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this one is aging pretty well, well at least with a year on it. Still Light Years Ahead Of Narwhal!

Either my palate has completely changed/evolved over the past 3+ years or I've become a complete beer snob/douche (I hope it's the former) but what I once considered an outstanding beer has now become average at best....

@twizzard not sure how intense the sun is on that beer but you may have skunked it taking the pic.
