I think its funny you happily paid the price you felt was fair. If that exchange of merchandise for was not fair, then you should not have bought it. Its not like the Bruery shipped it to you and you were obligated to pay for it. When you find it cheaper somewhere else....sorry not their fault. You were the one who initiated the transaction.

 

I think @BruerJoel mentioned that renewals would start in September so I'm guessing we should see those pretty soon as well as details.

This whole conversation (IMO) is rooted in subjectivity. I doubt the Bruery is scheming to undermine any of their society members. If Costco wants to sell it at a loss....how can they do anything about it? I joined years ago in Preservation and then moved up to Reserve. I have access to great beers that are held for me for a year should (So Cal Native) I not have room or not need to pick them up without waiting in line or hoping I am lucky enough to snag a bottle. I'm totally cool with them offering a subset of their beers to the public as it will introduce new folks to their line. That's just smart business. Hell I share most of my bottles with non members some of whom may have never tried anything from them at all.

They know we are fans of the beer and love the exclusive beers as society members and I doubt they are going to do anything purposely that will jeopardize that. My 2 cents at least.

 

Yeah mash and vanilla makes it here? Kinda odd.

 

They tweeted today that Hoarder invites have gone out. I assume they resolve all of that before starting in on Reserve?

There are no invitations to RS. All PS members get the chance to upgrade to RS between Oct 3 and Oct 14, depending on how many spots are available.

No sir. I take their post as in, they put it in the mail today.

 

Touche...I was thinking email. I always forget they class it up and mail them.

 

Mailing started late yesterday. Every RS and HS member will get an email next week.

 

This will be my first HS physical mail since last year ended up being a last minute invite via phone call / email.

 

Is then when I should ask if a current local RS member that will renew wants to split next year?

So folks down there received their invites today? I assume they are shipping the invites to the shipping address and not your billing address, right? Seems like a dumb question but I moved and havent updated my billing address. Shipping address is good since its my work....

Spent a ton, only visited 3 times, no party. Gotta admit i'm quite curious if I made the cut.

Went to the mailbox today and pulled this envelope out. To say that I'm honored or it made my day would probably cheapen the effect it had on me. Been hoping it was my year, and today I sat there pulling this small card out of the envelope, in shock that I was seeing what I had seen.
