I don't think so... there are still a couple ounces of hype to squeeze out of this release. I'm predicting next week we will have another tweeter session where we hear, "details coming soon"

Didn't the mug club email come out after the general public announcement last year? I thought it did, but I could very well be wrong.

 

Nope came out before, prob so they knew how many bottles they could offer at the release.

I thought Mug Club members are all guaranteed one bottle anyway. So, those that got into the lottery ended up with 3 bottles? I remember them announcing on a Friday, then picking "winners" over the weekend via email.

 

There wasn't really a lottery last time. It was the first 500 people to send in the email with the proper details.

 

Last year Mug Club members were emailed and offered 1 bottle and 1 glass to be picked up on or after the release party. The release party details were made public a week or so after that. And like @Multipass82 said it wasn't a lotto, it was first come, first serve.

I'll go with Thursday 9/1 at 2pm as my detail release guess.

Fwiw, speculating about the when the details would be released turned out to be a waste of time last year. TG sent out a tweet explicitly stating that the release details would come tomorrow. As someone who occasionally annoys his wife with notifications dinging on three separate devices thought the year, I hope they don't do that this year, but that's how it went down.

 

Technically mug club could decline/not answer the email.

 

I disagree. There was rampant discussion relating to time stamps on emails from the time open; roughly 1205..(?) pm to 1225...(?) pm. Members here were saying they got in at 10 after and some saying they didn't... My personal experience was, I sent my email at 1226pm and was drawn. So, I'm not sure how to categorize it.

 

Unless I missed it, there wasn't anything that said 'tomorrow'. They did tweet that details would come soon. But as per usual with their info... Who the hell knows what that means. After replying within about 20 minutes and getting left out last year, I've been glued to the phone since that tidbit came out. Kinda sad I guess but if I really want to try it, what else to do?
