Kentuckley is amazing. Opened on and have one left. The last one is going to be tough to crack.

only got one bottle of Kentuckley at the release, couldn't bring myself at the time to pull the trigger on a 2nd $30 bottle. Still have my 1 bottle & wish now I grabbed that 2nd one ....

I think Andy Lautner coming on board from Spiteful has definitely helped step up their hoppy beer game. Chris has always been on point with saisons & funky beers, but I didn't find his hoppy beers early on to be anything special. I had Croumulent at the last IL release & it was definitely the best hoppy beer from them I've had. Can't wait to pick up some cans & see what the future brings across all styles

So are they canning beers and have them available at the MI location? I haven't seen anything here in IL, so wondered if it was MI only. I'll be rolling through there Labor Day weekend, so will have to stop again. I'm not huge into funky beers, so haven't gotten into the Transient beers too much.

They are only canning in Michigan, and they're available to-go (when in stock) from the taproom. So far it seems like what gets brewed in Michigan stays there and doesn't cross over to Illinois. I was there a week ago today and they had all three of the beers they'd canned so far available (Juice is Loose, Cromulent, and Weko). Not sure what's left in stock, though - wouldn't surprise me if Juice had sold out by now (and Cromulent was canned a few weeks ago, supplies were already low last week).

Yes, since mid July. Chris has only been posting/talking about it on the Transient Facebook page as far as I've seen. His website doesn't mention it (on tap menu is still from mid June) and he didn't mention it at all in his recent members email, which went out after he started releasing cans.

I'm not on Facebook & sent him a note suggesting he consider letting his members know this kind of info via email updates or his website, because not everyone's on Facebook, and we want to continue supporting him by knowning what's available! I believe anything brewed in MI can't be sold in IL/out of state & everything for the IL members program needs to be brewed in IL.

Thanks...I was there on July 8th, so I just missed out. I've thought the same about their communication - I'm not on FB, and their website was severly lacking in up to date information. I'm not a member, either, so don't get any of those "special" updates.

You can still view their FB page without being "on Facebook". They have been posting, usually once a week, with any new releases. The first cans were the end of July.

Thanks, just checked it out. It's still pretty annoying that the tap list on their website is as of 6/19.

You can usually figure out what is on tap through Untappd, and what people are checking in at the location. They have had Obligatory on tap the half dozen or so times I have been there, and always do growler fills. There is usually some form/variation of Salarium (gose) and Maigre (berliner weisse) on at any given time as well.

Then they should get rid of the taplist page on their website.

    Or update it, right?

I've always liked what Bell's does with their Tap Cam pointed at their draught board. Not sure why more breweries don't do that. Seems like a relatively cheap, low maintenance solution and the draught list is always updated. For those not familiar it's at the lower left corner of their website:

Well, now we're maybe asking for too much!

Yep, I've always been a fan of Bell's tap cam. It really shouldn't be difficult either way, whether it's through a camera or just updating a website (either your own or via something such as Beer Menus), to show what's on tap.

I've based my decisions to visit Transient on convenience and what canned/bottled beer they have for sale. The tap list is just a bonus and I've never been disappointed.

Juice is loose is fantastic. A tad on the sweet side, but otherwise great.

Now I'll probably sound ignorant, but how do you see what canned/bottled beer is currently for sale on their FB page? I see posts about certain things being available as of a certain date (e.g. a post on 8/18 about Juice is Loose and Cromulent being available, but there isn't any mention of what else was available and nothing since then).

Thanks...just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something. I'll probably swing by next Saturday anyway just to see what's there.
