Hopefully it's not too difficult to accumulate all these cans for the next release now that you have given away your locations to the lurkers.

It's whatever you want to call it I guess. No one asks me for beer, and I don't ask anyone else. It's called being nice. I have zero expectations when I hand someone a beer or two. I give it to them because I think they'll enjoy it.

That was mainly what I was going for. It really sucks to see some dude take the last two cans at your local shop knowing hes got 17 more and selling them to his friends in another state. At the end of the day its just beer and just my 2 cents.

Right and I wont argue against it, though the argument could be made that these practices are driving up prices. If nobody buys Westside Market's $8 cans, they'll gather dust on a shelf and hopefully the store wont order more, leaving more for smaller shops or whole foods to sell that at a more reasonable price.

i'm not worried about internet resentment from people i don't know.

i'm all for sharing information. that is what the internet and forums are for. i have been on car forums for over 15 yrs and they're very helpful. if i can help someone get grimm by telling them a store (beermenus, IG and FB already does this), then so be it. they get it before me. i don't care. i'll find it somewhere else. it's just beer. plenty to go around.

so no one has gone out of state and brought back beer for friends? maine? mass? vermont? even other half releases that end up in nj. does that bother you too? i mean you can't just put this idea on grimm going back to nj and that's it. i share grimm, not hoard it. sharing is caring. lol

really? people aren't going to buy $8 cans of grimm? they're not going to sit on their shelves and collect dust. the guy has other customers besides me. they get 1 case. it's not going to make or break any business. they limit to 1 can per person, so have to make multiple trips to get a few.

tribeca wf just got it, but thomas left at 2pm and said the next beer person is in at 6pm. not sure if they're going to sell them now or not. a few releases ago, they were waiting til 6pm i know.

This is a cool thread guys.

BTW, Grimm hadn't arrived at about 12:30 when I was at WF CC, but I did leave with a 4-pack of Captain's Daughter and a 4-pack of Lil Citra, so you know, that's just fine by me.

Good luck in the chase, boys.

It's like Grimm is the only beer available in NYC. People get wrapped around the axel and can't see the forest through the trees.

It's obviously not the only beer available in the city, duh.

There are also 6 AM Other Half cans every other week. Jeez, it's like you don't even read the forums anymore.

(Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I actually chose a Greenpoint DIPA over an OH DIPA the other night....)

You come on these threads with each release and say these dumb things, putting down people for simply being excited about a beer. No one is getting hurt, no one is telling you how to spend your money, so maybe keep your poor use of the English language to yourself.

The idiom is "can't see the forest for the trees"

Can you name another local DIPA that was canned last week and doesn't require me to wait on line for 2-4 hours?

Probably the Finback and LIC Beer Project releases this weekend, in all likelihood. And, if I had to guess, if you show up at OH around 11 you can probably get Space Diamonds and/or ACE without much of a wait, but that's a little more iffy.

EDIT: And, if you're ok with bottles, Softly Spoken Magic Spells.

I don't think I'm up for waiting in the heat this weekend, so I'm probably gonna stick to LIC and Finback. The point I was trying to make was that there isn't much when it comes to fresh, local canned IPAs being distributed. I'm all for visiting breweries, but sometimes I just wanna pop into my local shop.

love that beer. singlecut & finback are so underrated and other half is so overrated.

Finback canning more and hopefully distributing cans should help. My biggest issue with singlecut is price. I think compared to OH their selection is pretty limited. It seems like OH puts out at least 2-3 new beers a month.
