Had a 14, 15, 16 dark app vert last week which was great, 14 had mellowed out a ton and was slightly oxidized which is what I expected. I thought 15 was at the best balance personally. I've got a 14 and 15 bbbm saved for the next release and I definitely plan on on saving bottles of bb oro to see how it ages and mellows out. Already has some compared to the first pour fresh.

Anyone that ages barrel aged Oro is goofy. It's perfection and the spice will only fade with time. Wish I had a few more, but thanks @BuckeyeBeerhead for the bottle I am drinking now.

I was kindly gifted a bottle by friends and was planning on drinking it soon for the same reasons. Have a Coffee Bourbon Barrel Oil bottle I'll try fresh too since the coffee will fade.

Thanks for all the insightful comments folks. I've only considered aging bb Oro after I've tried a sip of Huna 14 the other night. It was unbelievably delicious.

Had one. Few months ago that was still as good as the release but I keep mine in the cellar and away from light

Bb dark pp is probably my second favorite after champ ground since with bb dark app they upped the chocolate and backed off the brown sugar hope it was just a fluke I picked up a ton this year and gave them away as extras so others around the us would get a chance to try it I'll have to check with them and see how they were

Just saw via Facebook that Brad was brewing Black Maple today. Set to be barrel aged and released late 2017. Does anyone know how many cases are left?!

Having a BB Oro and BB Dark App tonight thanks to the rumors. I noticed a slight cheese element when I opened the Dark App but I think it was from being paranoid and over analytical. Now getting pretty standard, enticing aromas and both are actually drinking very nicely.

So is Black Maple not releasing in 2016?

It's getting released this year too, they were just brewing for next years batch now.

Sipping on Coffee Bourbon Barrel Oil of Aphrodite right now and it's one of the saddest and happiest moments. It's so damn good and crazy complex, but I only have one more bottle after this. D: Need a case.....or two. What's everyone else think?

I agree, Coffee BB Oil is outstanding.
For the hell of it, I dropped a little concentrated cold brew into BB Oro, that turned out pretty nice, too.

I was a little disappointed in the coffee presence for Coffee Oil. I cracked one for the finale of the Night Of yesterday evening and I really wasn't picking any coffee flavor up when I was sipping it. If anything, I was getting a little as an aftertaste but it was still pretty tame. Felt that it was a tad thin too. Maybe I'm being picky. It was a good beer for sure, but my expectations were sky high after reading all the comments and it wasn't quite there for me.

^ not much different than regular BB Oil, which isn't a bad thing. Champion Ground will alleviate that coffee itch.

BBBM is really good. Not overly maple, but a sticky, maple sweetness is there. Sticky and a tad boozy in a good way. I doubt aging BBBM any longer will improve the taste. I'm willing to cellar one for research though.

If you swing by the taproom, make sure she doesn't find out how much those 375s are.

One of the main reasons I rarely have my wife come to Jackie O's with me...

Had a 2016 BB Vanilla & Coffee Dark App over the weekend, it was bad. Similiar in taste to Bourbon County.... Sour with some funk. So disappointed. I have 2 bottles left... looks like I'll pop them as well soon... see if they are all like that. i can't see anything on the bottle that identifies the bottle in some unique way to help everyone.
