Ok, let me hold your hand a little because you obviously didn't get the point.

NO ONE KNOWS THE REQUIREMENTS FOR HOARDERS. NO ONE HAS EVER FIGURED IT OUT, AND NO ONE FROM THE BREWERY HAS TOLD ANYONE WHAT THEY ARE. EVER.

I would guess no, since they refer to it as an "upgrade".

Like it was said above, I'm not sure why you would want to. Additionally their system may get very confused with your membership level (which discount/allocation to apply). While it was possible to maintain both PS and RS, I'm not sure the same could be said for RS and HS.

But damn, big allotments, plus the extras per Society would be sick.

A buddy is doing HS + RS this year, so it is possible.

Jesus, that's what, 22 black Tuesdays? 12 from hoarders, 6 from reserve, then I figure each gets 2 automatically with their allocation...

Why? I mean, if you're splitting among several friends it could make sense, but if it's just your buddy, that's insane. Bruery beers don't trade very well, aren't exactly hot commodities for bottle shares (at least with people who have been around for years...maybe new money still gets stoked), and it's almost physically impossible to drink so much Bruery beer that you need to max both RS and HS.

Sounds like a challenge I'd willingly accept.

Each person at the bottle share gets their own BT verticle. Sounds like fun.

If you take the time to read my post, at no point did I ask for the "requirements". Again, if you don't want to answer the question I asked, ignore it and move along.

Seems excessive, but hey, to each his own. I would guess they use a unique login / email address for each...

Maybe if you shared how much you spent (outside of the memberhip fee), others may be more inclined to contribute.

I would, but for fear of divorce politely decline (see rule #1 above, which I am applying to RS).

You really want to be spoonfed, huh?

    In 2014, I spent $2300+.
    2015, $2900+.
Got a 2016 invite long after they had gone out and been received by most everyone. I speculate it was from meeting a Bruery rep in Atlanta during two launch events of new beers held at two premium bars, and me discussing my faith and love for their beers with her. But, NO ONE ACTUALLY KNOWS IF THAT WAS IT. Again, there has never been an actual target amount or length of membership to guarantee an invite. But keep asking if you still don't get it, and people will keep telling you the same thing.

I met Mr. Patrick Rue back in 2010 at the extreme brew fest in Boston. I had no idea who he was and at that point never heard of the Bruery before. I drank a couple glasses of black tuesday and think we might have bromanced a lil bit. (Or maybe I just imagined all that since I was drunk.) Fast forward a couple months and I saw his face on the cover of BA magazine and it all clicked who he was.

Anyway... im sure thats why I got the hoarders invite too.

Or maybe it was because my first year in the RS I maxed every allocation and wrote a BA review for every beer?

    Bum bum bummmmmmmm

Could not tell ya. All I know is he is doing it. I think he has 3 friends that he resells the bottles to for what he paid so that helps out quite a bit.

will never understand, amidst all the other silly and whimsical things people discuss on BA, why speculating and discussing the HS metrics for invitation is so taboo.... But every year some poor guy wanders in asking and is eviscerated.

    Why break presidence I suppose...

in 2013 I spent $2500+ in RS and made it to all the events, and have talked to mr rue every time. I was not invited to HS but I also didn't renew another year either (got married and bought a house in 2014). others spent less than me and got invited to HS so it really is kinda random, or atleast not a dollar amount.

It's not taboo. There just isn't an answer. People want an answer though and they get upset if they don't get one.

Its also not about putting in the time. 2014 - PS, 2015 -RS, 2016- HS for me. I think its got to be random.

Here's mine... 2014 PS, 2015 RS, 2016 HS. I didn't max anything, I went to the tasting room on occasion.

There's seriously no pattern, at all.
